Mixed Media Cards... not... well maybe!
Hi everyone, These cards might look like I spent all day painting and working with alcohol inks... but thanks to Nicole Wright... I didn't! I used the following sheet of paper from Nicole's Media Assemblage paper collection, to create focal points for all four of my cards. Nicole describes this paper as being made for layering on extra paint and mixed media elements, so I started by splashing my card pieces with a little bit of gesso. *hint... the packing box that Wild Whisper's paper comes in is perfect for small jobs like this! This first card I created by...
Appreciate the Journey Scrapbooking Layout with Khristina
Hi friends! Khristina here and I am super excited to be creating with one of the new collections, Strength of the Season, today. This collection has some of the most gorgeous fall colors and unique patterns. Also today, I am playing along with a You Tube series called Off the Board where we choose something that we have saved to Pinterest and use it as inspiration for a layout. I chose to work with a grid layout from Michelle Stokes and you can see her layout in the video as well. For this layout, I wanted to create...
Dance Journey by Jenn
Hello Jenn here with a layout using the new Strength of the Season. This is such a beautiful and versatile collection, with so many possibilities. I can see this collection being turned into celebration of life album, a graduation album for a highschool student, birthday cards, a mini album documenting a life transition, or even just used for seasonal layouts. I have so many ideas!!! My daughter is headed into highschool next year and these next few months will be filled with a lot of anxiety, anticipation, worry, and excitement for her. She is also approaching dance competition season, something...
Farm Life Heritage Layout by Tracy
Hello Wild Whisper friends! Tracy here, and today I have a vintage inspired layout to share featuring the new Nicole Wright Media Assemblage 12x12 Paper Pack. Here are all of the details. I started this layout with a piece of chipboard that I cut to 11.25x11.25 and distressed it's edges. Using water misted DecoArt Media Burnt Umber paint I brushed streaks across parts of the chipboard. Then using DecoArt black acrylic paint and a paper towel roll, I stamped circles around the chipboard. Then finally splattered the same black paint around the middle of the layout. Let dry. I inked...
Hello Winter Tag by Katelyn
Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be on the blog today sharing my Hello Winter Tag. To create my tag, you'll need the Canadian Winter Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home. To start, you'll need a #8 tag, it doesn't matter what colour it is. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. From the backside of the cover sheet, trace the tag onto the blue woodgrain patterned paper. Cut out the paper tag. You'll also need to cut a piece that...
