Hello, Jenn here with a new Smash Book Layout using the Cozy Nights Collection! I started this layout during my Live and then finished it for a process video. Click on the video below to see the replay of the live, or click HERE to visit the Facebook page and catch up on all the Lives we do, every Thursday at 7pm MT
For my sock card, I chose two patterns and some kraft cardstock to accent the colors in the socks.
In addition to the sock patterned paper and die cuts, I also used a branding strip cut into a border for some extra socks! This card would be perfect to send to a close friend as a little pick me up! It would also work well to include with a gift of cute socks!

For my second card, I started with one of the cards in the card pack. I just love all the coffee elements in the Cozy Nights collection and knew as soon as I saw them I needed to make a card. I think this card would be lovely with a Starbucks gift card in it.
For both cards, I added a sprinkle of sequins for some extra sparkle. I love these cards and I can't wait to give them to some friends!

This layout started with the large tag. I created the tag during my recent Facebook Live session. ( You can check that out here - https://fb.watch/q3x77adPsB/ )
I designed my layout around my tag and photo. To keep the focus there, I added simple but cozy embellishments and accents.

]]>Hello, Jenn here with part one of a two part interactive layout that I created using the new Happy Birthday Collection. The first part of this layout was created for the Ground Hog Day Hop that happened on February 2nd, and was inspired by a scaplift of a layout I created a few years ago, and my Feburary sketch.
These birthday pictures are from 2022 which is in an 8 1/2x11 album, so to create this background I took a 12x12 piece of cardstock and scored the edges to the 8 1/2x11 size. This gave me a fold on the side and at the bottom that I could use to create a little interactive element to the back side of the layout (which will be part 2!!!).
I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in colours that closely match the Happy Birthday Collection to splatter and paint my background, then stamped Happy Birthday from the Stamp Set to embellish the background. I fussy cut several elements from the Fussy Cut sheet, as well as presents from one of the 12x12 patterned papers to create some layers, then finished the layout with some gorgeous sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.
Please visit my channel to see the video. The Happy Birthday Collection is in the store now so be sure to grab it, and use my discount DTJENN at checkout to get 10% off your purchase and save some money. Thanks so much for stopping by, Happy Scrapping :)

]]>One of my favorite stamps in the set is this adorable dragonfly...I could put these cuties on everything! I stamped the bottom of my layout with dragonflies in a collection of colors to match the line.
Once I had stamped all the images, I used a fan brush to add splatter across the dragonflies for contrast and interest.
I used one of the patterned papers from the collection on the top half of my layout.
Then I added my photo and embellishments. for my title I used one of the 3X4 cards in the card pack.

]]>Hello, Happy New Year!!! Jenn here with a new layout to start the year off! I am using the supplies I got in the amazing 60% off sale from last year, did you grab any of those goodies for yourself, many of the collections can still be found in the Last Chance section of the shop!? I am pairing them with some scraps from my Wild Whisper stash because January is Baby Got Scraps month, and I am also using the Freaky Fast Formula from this week's Turesday's in the Attic. My goal for this year is to create fun, easy, quick layouts and use up as much of my stash as possible, so lets see how I did!
I started this layout by pulling out scraps in colours that I thought matched well, and also anything that matched my photo theme, which is tobagganing. I had a piece of paper from the Tinbit collection that I cut the image out of. It was mountains. I kept the remaining piece of the paper thinking I would probably use the pattern on the other side, but this plain white paper with the shape of mountains cut out of the bottom really inspired me because it fit the tobagganing theme so well. I used that as my background, and found a scrap of the snowflake paper from Strength of the Season that was large enough to back the mountain-shaped cutout. Not only does it make the cutest background page, but the teal from the snowflake paper also matches the papers in my How To Kill a Kit with Style Kit for this month so I was able to pull some scraps from there as well.
With all of my scraps assembled, I pulled out the pieces that were the right sizes to be cut down into the measurements from the Freaky Fast Formula. This included a piece of paper from the Happy Tails collection, and from the Carefree collection. I used all of these pieces to create a large cluster of layered papers at the top of the page, above the mountains, and that's where I placed my picture. I used some foam tape to pop up a couple of the layers and my photo, to add some dimension. I used a few of the tiny leftovers of the pink and purple papers to add little snowcaps to my mountain, to really get every scrap I could used up!
To finish the layout, I added the title Play, some little sticker embellishments and some sequins from the Ocean of Teal mix, then outlined my layout, each layer, and the mountains with a silver gel pen, and silver glitter paint pen. Finally, I added some splatters of silver and teal shimmery watercolours. Confession: my silver glitter paint pen seems to actually be teal? I'm not sure if this is an accident in packaging, or if the paint pen is just getting old and the silver paint has turned bluish-teal. In any case, I did almost panic, but decided to just roll with it and let it be! Sometimes that's the risk you take when you add things like sketchy lines to your layouts, or use paint or mists for splatters. They don't always work out the way you thought they would. Sometimes they smudge, or you drip somewhere you didn't mean to. Sometimes your hand isn't as steady as you thought and you draw someone unintended. Whatever it might be, there is almost always a way to fix it. If I had chosen not to keep my teal sketchy line, I could have covered it up with some embellishments or washi tape, or I could even have trimmed a small amount off of each side of the page and backed the layout with another piece of paper to create a border around the entire layout. The lesson: there is always a way to fix things, so don't let worry about messing up be the reason for not trying a new technique or supply!!! You may surprise yourself with how much you enjoy experimenting with new things :)
For more details, please head to my process video on my channel!!! You can also scoop up all of these papers and more from the Wild Whisper Designs store, and use my discount code DTJENN to save some money when you check out. Thank you so much for stopping by, and Happy Scrapping :)

]]>I am sharing a set of cards I created with everyone on my Facebook Live event last week. We had such a lovely time making these! If you missed the Live you can catch the replay here - https://fb.watch/p1HSBORE-q/
I chose the fun snail paper in the In Nature paper pack to base my cards on. This paper is so fun I thought it would be perfect to feature.
I fussy cut one of the snails from the paper to accent my sentiment on my first card. I chose the sentiment from the In Nature stamps set. I love all the different layers of patterned paper on this card.
For my sentiment on my second card I used one of the cut apart pieces from a patterned paper. I love this saying and thought it would be perfect to bring some comfort to a friend.

Hello, Jenn here with the finished layout that I started during my last Facebook Live (have you been joining us on Wednesdays for a Scrap and Chat? We'd love to hang out with you!!!).
I started this layout using my November Sketch, the In Nature Collection, and some scraps from one of my favourite Wild Whisper Fall collections. I smooshed some red and orange watercolours onto my background paper, added just a touch of yellow Distress Oxide, and a splatter of gold watercolour for the shimmer, then set that aside to dry while I worked on my paper layers. I love all the layers in the sketch, and think they are the perfect place to use up scraps. I had some pieces of Strength of the Season that I tore into strips to combine with the In Nature papers for the horizontal layers, and I used a journalling card from In Nature to layer behind my little 2x3" photo. I love the pops of purple from the acorn paper with all the warm fall colours. The torn edges add some fun texture, and make the layers interesting. Before officially sticking my layers down, I trimmed a little off of my background paper and matted the whole layout onto a piece of paper from the Carefree Collection.
I decided to add some stamping to the background, so I used some foliage from the In Nature stamp set. I like how a little touch of black can really help to make other colours seem more vibrant. And then finished the layout with my title Feeling Fall, and a few embellishments of flowers from Rosie's Studio, and some vellum leaves. Of course, I also added some sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps to bring it all together.
I have really been enjoying the process of starting layouts during my Lives and getting everyone's imput and opinions. It's alot of fun to see what direction people would go in for each layout, and this layout was no exception. You can check out the live anytime on the Wild Whisper Facebook Page, and visit my channel for the process video that shares more details, and how I finished the layout. As always, please feel free to use my doscount code DTJENN at checkout to save money on your next Wild Whisper purchase. Thank you so much for stopping by and for all of your support. Until next, Happy Scrapping :)

]]>I have been obsessed recently with watching Kristie Marcotte on You Tube recently. She is a cardmaker and her videos have been on heavy rotation around here. I love how she uses card sketches for her projects and decided to give some of her card sketch resources a try.
I chose three sketches from Freshly Made Sketches that I liked and went to work!
I loved layering all the patterns from this collection onto my cards. I also colored and stamped images from the stamp set.

The formal gardens at Montpelier were a perfect place to start and I thought they would be a perfect match to document all the photos I took of the beautiful scenery. In Nature is the perfect compliment to the outdoor photos.
I started with a mixed media background I created with the In Nature 4X6 Stamp Set. I heat embossed the dragonfly stamp with gold embossing powder and then used my sprays to create a shimmery, colorful background.
Over my background I layered up a collage of photos from the In Nature - 12X12 Double Paper Pack For embellishments I used a few of the cards from the In Nature Double Card Pack.
For my title I cut out letters using a metal die from my stash. Some washi tape and sequins were the perfect finishing touches.

My first idea was to use the keys and celebrate Champagne bottles to document my anniversary. I also thought this would make a great Valentine's Day layout with the theme of "Key To My Heart" or you could add some of the door images for a layout about New Years or beginning something new with the theme of 'celebrating a new door opening'. Once you start thinking outside the box (pun intended) the ideas just keep flowing. I paired my layout with the 30 Days of Sketches sketch for Day 4 by Miss Carrie's Creations, and created my layout during my Wednesday Wild Whisper Facebook Live. You can find that Live on the Facebook Page or head over to my Youtube Channel for a Process Video!
My second idea was the use some of the labels like 'Home Sweet Home' and 'House Hunting' to document Halloween. I cut out the labels and altered the sayings to make them more spooky!!! I also started this layout Live, by creating my ghost background, and the watercolour and stamped images. My large ghosts were inspired by a fun, trendy, art technique of pulling acrylic paint down across the paper. I also created some watercolour ghosts, and stamped some pumpkins (with the Sweater Weather Stamp Set) to fussy cut and use as embellishments. I put the layout together in a Process Video on my channel, so please head over there to find all of the details, and of course, the Live is posted on the Wild Whisper Facebook Group.
I had so much fun putting these two layouts together and sharing my processes with you in the Facebook Lives. I always appreciate finding ways to stretch a collection and make it work for multiple layout themes. I started this layout on my Facebook Live and created the border on the left side of the page. You can watch my Facebook Live HERE
To finish my page, I started by choosing a photo. I wanted something that said home to me and my family. At first, I was considering a photo of our home but as I went through the photos I had printed I came across this photo. This is a photo of my dog in his "spot" in my craft room. He is my constant companion and has a "spot" in each room of our home I spend time in. It would be strange not to look over in what ever room I am in and not see him in his spot.
So that was the story I decided to tell for my page.
I stamped and ink blended some of the images I used from the border as embellishments for the rest of my page. In addition to ink blending over these stamped images, I added some Nuvo drops for a little extra detail. (I do love my little details.)

I couldn't wait to plat with these lines. I started with In Nature...specifically the black and white floral pattern. I wanted to try coloring the images so I pulled out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and gave it a try. I was so impressed with the results! The paper took the ink beautifully and I was on a roll.
I colored and fussy cut abot half of the floral paperand then I was ready to create my layout! I went with a nice grid design and used 4 3X4 cards from the card pack. Three became colorful mats for the photos, and the fourth a journal spot.
I chose this muted floral patterned paper for my background.

]]>I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color both of my cards. I stamped the cards using some dye in deep brown. This gave the stamped inages a softer, more muted look then a crisp black. Perfect for the look I was going for!
For my ink blended backgrounds, I chose Distress Oxide inks. Once I had a smooth blend on my backgrounds, I accented with some ink splatter, and water for that "oxide" effect
For some more sparkle, I added some Glossy Accents and of course, some sequins! Silver for the cool colored card, and a deep bronze for the warm colored card.

I used both stamps to watercolor the background loosely. I used oranges and warm yellows for colors. I wanted a late summer/early autumn color palette. Part 1: https://fb.watch/mizIhYEz68/
Part 2: https://fb.watch/mizKobCB6d/
This album is big and chunky and holds A LOT of photos! I love it :) I intentionally left the edges of the paper bags, and long with plenty of the paper bag showing on pages so that anyone looking at my album knows exactly what I've used to create it. I added papers and journaling cards from the Adventure collection, as well as, Camp More Worry Less, and Lake Life to create backgrounds, add pockets, and flip-outs, and embellish my pages. Here are some pictures of my favourite pages and pockets!!!
It's not quite finished yet. I still need to add some journalling and some more embellishements, but I think it turned out great and I love going through it to look back at the memories of one of our favourite family trips. Its so fun to watch my kids go through it and share their impressions and memories of the trip. I've been taking notes so that I can add their stories into the journalling as well.
Thanks so much for popping by!!! Stay tuned to my channel for a final reveal and flip through of the album, coming soon, https://www.youtube.com/@JenniferGagne . And remember to head over to the Wild Whisper Facebook page every Wednesday for a new Live with either myseld, Sara, or Katelyn. We love chatting and scrapping with you :)

I chose a heritage photo to document today. I thought the neutral colors in the line would pair so well with my photo. And to keep the page light I chose a couple of different stamp sets in neutral warm colors...with a pop of black for contrast.
Available Products From The Shop -
I chose the Brush Script Stamp Set for my title - identifying who is in my photo.
I stamped both on the background paper and also some individual images that I fussy cut and used as embellishments.
The organic shape of the flowers breaks up the harsh lines of the papers. I used mostly scraps on my page. This is a great page design to reach for when you want to add a lot of fun pattern, but you are at the end of finishing up a collection pack!
I have a video up on my channel showing my entire process..you can check it out HERE!

]]>I used the 2 woodgrain patterns on a card set (blog post HERE) and today I'm back with two mosre cards made with the patterned papers I created at that same live.
Today's cards feature bright and bold colors..perfect for summer!
The background for this card was made using the Birch Background Stamp Set.
For the front, I stamped and colored the glue image from the Handmade 4X6 Stamp Set. I also added Stickles to the glue bottles so they are glittery!
You can never have too much sparkle, so I added some sequins too...of course I did...

Now, we'll create the For You Cards.
The background papers are 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock. Gelli print the papers using Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint - Turquoise, Peacock and Tubular as well as the Nicole Wright Designs - Fanciful Blossom Stencil. Once the paint has dried, the stamping on the papers is the Pam Bray Designs - Lattice 6x6 Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival Ink. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Play in The Dirt Paper Pack, you'll need the wood paper, sun paper, leaf paper, butterfly paper and jar paper. From the wood paper, cut a piece that measures 1 1/4" x 4 1/2". From the sun paper, cut two pieces that measure 3/4" x 4" and 3/4" x 4". From the leaf paper, cut two pieces that measure 1" x 3 1/4" and 1" x 4 1/4". Flip the paper over and cut two pieces that measure 1" x 2 7/8" and 1 1/2" x 4 1/4". From the butterfly paper, cut two pieces that measure 1" x 4 3/4". From the jar paper, cut two pieces that measure 1" x 3 3/4" and 1" x 4 1/2". Sand the edges of all of the papers.
From the cut apart paper, fussy cut the propagation station vase and two large leaves. Sand the edges of the images.
From the Nicole Wright Designs - Ledger 6x8 Stamp Set, you'll need the letters to spell the words For You. You'll need to stamp the letters twice using Jet Black Archival Ink on a piece of white cardstock. Cut the For You sentiments into a total of four word strips.
Choose one of the backgrounds. Adhere the butterfly paper 1 1/4" from the left and 1/4" from the top of the paper. Adhere the 1" green word paper 3/8" from the left and 1" from the top of the paper. Adhere the wood paper 1/2" from the left and 3/8" from the top of the paper. Adhere the 1" jar paper 1 1/2" from the right and 3/4" from the top of the paper. Adhere the 1" leaf paper 3/4" from the left and 1/2" from the top. Staple the 3/4" sun paper 1 7/8" from the right and 5/8" from the top of the paper.
Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the two large leaves as desired on the cardfront. Adhere one of the For You sentiments onto the second leaf at the bottom as desired.
Adhere the butterfly paper 5/8" from the right and 1/4" from the top of the other paper. Adhere the leaf paper 1/4" from the right and 1 1/4" from the top of the paper. Adhere the jar paper 1 5/8" from the left and 3/8" from the top of the paper. Adhere the green word paper 1/2" from the right and 1/2" from the top of the paper. Staple the sun paper 7/8" from the right and 5/8" from the top of the paper.
Foam square the propagation station vase to the left of the strips of paper as desired. Adhere the For You sentiment to the right of the vase as desired.
Here are the finished For You Cards.
Here are a few closeups of the finished cards.
Here are the finished Gelli Print Background Card Set.
