When I was 11/12 my mom bought me one of those scrapbook kits that includes an album, some papers and embellishments, scissors and basically everything else you need to make a scrapbook, except the skills to make it not look like a hot mess. I scrapbooked and made cards on and off between then (early 2000s) to early 2013 when I started to get more serious about becoming a maker, but was mostly doing cards and other crafts involving paper at that time. I started Project life in 2014 and went back to document the photos I'd taken in 2013 back to 2011 when I started college. From there I've built a medium sized collection of mini albums, a huge stash of supplies, several pocket page albums, and a bunch of traditional pages.
I love any sort of paper crafting that allows me to tell a story; mini albums, traditional pages and pocket pages are my go to's, but I also make cards and baked goods from time to time. A few things I can't live with out include coffee, books, boardgames, cozy blankets, our cat Gracie and my large stash of crafty goodness. Being creative is part therapy, and part simply fulfilling the desire to document my life in this season before we get married and have kids and life becomes a blur that needs to be documented to be remembered.
Hi everyone! My name is Cathy and I've been crafting in some form or other as long as I can remember. But about 22 years ago my best friend bought me a rubber stamp and the rest is history. I have been stamping and making cards etc for years, but it's only been in the last couple of years that I have been sharing my work and trying out so many new things. I love mixed media and being able to use so many things I've been "saving" for eons. I have also started to do scrapbook layouts using some of my favorite pictures, I know, I know I'm behind on that too! LOL I am excited to be a part of this journey with Wild Whisper and the amazing designers on this team.
Hello, my name is Felicia Young and here is a little about me: I have been scrapbooking for about 19 years now and I have more passion for scrapbooking than ever before and I am still in love with scrapbooking. I started when my 3 children were very young and having so many photos I was trying to figure out a new way of displaying my photos instead of the old traditional photo album technique. I brought my first kit at Target for $20.00 and have been scraping every since. I am also a Project Lifer and have been doing PL since 2010. Since then, I am now a professional photographer, due to scrapbooking. Now my scrapbooking has lead me into doing my own Youtube channel where I display my layouts and give suggestions and techniques.
Hi friends! I'm Karla Yungwirth - blessed with three wonderful girls ages 28, 10 and 5 and a fantastic, supportive husband. We live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but I'll always be a Maritime girl at heart, as I grew up on the East Coast. My days are filled with Playdoh, tea parties, sticky fingers and swim lessons, but I always manage to fit in crafty time for my sanity! I've been crafting as long as I can remember. My mom was always recycling something old into something new for my sister and me, my grammy knitted and my nanny sewed and crocheted. I'm so blessed to have had their influences in my life. About 16 years ago I was introduced to scrapbooking and it was a whole new world! This led to card making and mixed media. I love trying new things and have met so many amazing people on this creative journey! You can find me on my blog sharing crafty stuff!
My name is Katelyn Clary and I am a fourth year New Media Marketing student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have been scrapbooking and crafting since I was little, so for a majority of my life. Besides paper crafts I also enjoy photography, painting, and hanging out with family and friends.
Hi, I am Nathalie DeSousa (aka Tachita, my nickname since birth). I am a stay at home wife and mom of two teenager, and a very active Boston Terrier from Toronto, Canada. My mom taught us that homemade was better at an early age, since then I have been in love with arts and crafts. Journaling has been part of my life for as long as I can remember; pretty paper, photos and colors have always had an especial place in my heart and desk. I discover scrapbooking when my kids were born, but it was until a few years ago ( once my kids were older) that it took a more prominent space in my life. Nowadays, a lot of my free time is spent documenting our lives. I find scrapbooking as a way to preserve the feeling and sensations, not just the moment, that is why I find inspiration on my family and friends, long walks, my faith, and photography. If I am not crafting, you can find me reading, watching a soccer game, at a coffee shop, or just in some corner capturing my every day moments with my camera. I am thankful to God every day for all the blessings received, and one of them is sharing my life with you all...
I'm a 20 something wife and dog mom living in North Carolina, USA. I love exploring, decorating, DIY, and loving people. Scrapbooking is my love language - preserving photographs with pretty paper is my very favorite pastime.
Hello! My name is Sara. I am a 37 year old wife and mother to two boys and two dogs. I am also a full-time caregiver to my mother-in-law and grandparents. I started scrapbooking 15 years ago with a Winnie the Pooh scrapbook kit I bought at WalMart and haven't stopped since. I have branched out over the years with cards, pocket page scrapbook pages, home decor pieces, and art journals...all of which will always include pretty paper. I love paper and stitching, watercolors and sequins. I hope you will enjoy my layouts, videos, and cards.
My name is Tori. I love when my hands are covered in ink and my hair has sparkles in it. I love when my pockets are filled with buttons and my desk is sprinkled with sequins. I collect movie stubs, hotel keys, brochures, flyers and recipes. I see colour everywhere and a world of inspiration. My fingers are itching to create and my camera is always at the ready. I am a creator, a maker, a designer, a dreamer and an artist. I delight in the lovely little things that help me see the bigger picture. Paper crafting makes my heart sing. I started scrapbooking about 3 years ago when I got back from a tour with the African Children’s Choir and fell head over heals with all things paper crafting. I started a YouTube channel about a year and a half ago and immediately fell in love with sharing my creative process with others. I aspire to inspire and to encourage others to find the artist inside. I believe everyone and anyone has a little artist within them and I believe we are all more capable, creative and competent than we even give ourselves credit for. I find so much joy in sharing with others my creative process.
