Canada Post Strike

As Canadians, we are all probably well aware that Canada Post is experiencing a strike which has temporarily disrupted their services. All deliveries and pick ups have come to a halt, so we have chosen to hold all orders where the customer has selected Canada Post for shipping. We feel that this will reduce the risk of losing any orders, or have more control if a customer changes their mind in the shipping method if this strike persists.

We have opened a UPS account and can now ship your orders through UPS for timely delivery. All options are available in the checkout. We are also working on getting a FedEx account set up to provide all options.

What does this mean for our US and international customers? For the USA, Canada Post is our equivalent as your USPS. We rely on this service for all of our letter mail and is a preferred shipping method for many e-commerce businesses as it is a reliable and cost effective solution. Canada Post transfers parcels to USPS when it is shipped over the border. If you choose Canada Post or “Tracked Package USA” in checkout, your parcel will be delayed until the strike is resolved.

As we have seen in the past, even when the strike is resolved, we will still experience delays as the postal workers work to get caught up. Please be aware of this, and we will send out a notification when a shipping label is created and you will be able to track your package from there!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your understanding as we navigate this situation.

Thank you for your continued support!

Suzy & Heather
