Cathy Potosky is here today with a sparkly, whimsical card! She uses the new Wild Whimsy collection with her Xyron Sticker Maker to bring this one together. Cathy will take it from here!
I was so excited for this release and for being able to use the very cool Xyron Sticker Maker to help with this project. Wild Whimsy has so many great elements in it, the gem stamps are so perfect for making into stickers!!
I got most of the gem stamps ready and embossed them using Rose Gold and Purple Metallic from Emerald Creek. I then took the strips and ran them all through the Xyron Sticker Maker.
Before I started my fussy cutting of all the gems, I did a quick background using Distress Oxides in Tattered Rose and Shaded Lilac and the gem stamps.
I cut up two cards from the card pack, the pink mermaid scale background behind the You're A Gem stamp and the mermaid herself.
After I turned my stamped gems into stickers, I added some shimmer with the Wendy Vecchi Mica Spray in Pearl and an iridescent medium. After all they are gems, they should shimmer!
Then all I had to do was peel the backing off my gems and they were ready to attached to my card.
And the finished card, shimmery gems, pretty mermaid and pink mermaid scales.
The Wild Whimsy Collection is going to be on everyone's must have list so get your's as soon as you can!! Wait till you see the dragonfly wings!!
