Hello friends! It’s Karla here today, and I am so excited to be back on the Wild Whisper Design Team! Pretty soon we’ll be sharing some gorgeous new products, but until that happens I wanted to share with you how to pull out some of the beautiful products from the Christmas Comfort Collection to reinvent them for Valentines Day. I didn’t get to use as much of this collection as I had planned on, so I thought this would be a great way to use up my stash and make some pretty Valentines Day cards.
I chose to start with the beautiful arrow paper layered on my card base. I cut the tree off of the red pickup truck from the Christmas Comfort ephemera pack and added a stamp from my stash to add a pile of hearts and love letters to the truck bed instead. Both the arrow tag and the bow are also from the ephemera pack. I was inspired by the SCT Motivational Monday sketch challenge!
I love the nontraditional look this Valentine has, which could easily be used for a masculine Valentine card. I used papers from the 12x12 paper pack to diecut hearts and borders. I’m totally loving the burlap paper - it looks so real!
Inside, I stamped a sentiment and created a matching envelope with an xoxo sentiment on the flap.
I love the Jeep/truck paper in the Collection and used it for the background of the second card. I added the Jeep this time from the ephemera pack and layered it on a couple of diecut hearts. The pretty arrow from the ephemera pack looks great tucked into the large white heart.
A bit of glossy accents and sequins over the layers of lovely papers add interest and bling.
Inside, I stamped a sentiment and added a strip of matching paper to the front of the envelope.
Don’t be afraid to look in your paper stash and look beyond what the collection may be meant for originally in order to create some exciting new projects! You may just find that these are the ones you love the most. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Wild Whisper shop and keep your eyes open for exciting goodies coming this year!
