Traveller's Notebook Process by Nathalie!

Hello and welcome back! Today we have Nathalie DeSousa sharing two gorgeous Traveller's Notebook spreads. This would be an interesting format to create a December Daily in. Are any of you readers doing that? We love how Nathalie has used the Home for the Holidays collection in her notebook. We hope you check out her video below and we will let her take it from here!

Hi there! With the Holiday season in full swing, I am sure most of you are finding it hard to find a large amount of time to work on documenting memories. Well, I want to show you how the new Home for the Holidays collection can easily speed up your memory keeping.
It took me about 30 minutes to complete the two pages (given that I am using pre-made decorations for one of the pages – leftovers form previous projects). The first page is all about my nephew’s joy for the season, or better said “candy cane season”.
I used the Home for the Holidays stamp set to create the background of the page. I used a piece of paper to mask off the space where the title was placed, and then used a combination of 2 shades of teal ink to create the background. Once the background was dried, I used the large sentiments in the stamp set to create the title of the page.Next, I used one of the large journal cards to mat the picture. This time, I used an exacto knife to cut the little label so that I can slip the picture under it. The edges of the label were then trimmed to look like a banner.   A small sentiment label was used to complete the cluster in the top corner of the picture.I added a few more details using only the stamp to the bottom corner of the page, and then added the sentiment to complete the page. The last page was then put together to document our first shopping trip of the season. I used one of the papers from the Home for the Holidays collection to cover one of the pages of the entry, then attached the picture to this page.Next I used some left over snowflake diecuts (from previous projects) and layered it at the top corner of the picture. This time, I used the stamp set and vellum to create the rest of the cluster of the page.To balance the picture, I created a small cluster of sentiments form other manufacturers in combination with a stamped sentiment. Once again, I used vellum to add a small  image that matched the snowflake motif of the page. For the title, I cut one of the diecut snowflakes to fit flush on the bottom page of the picture. Then I used the stamp (I LOVE THIS STAMP SET!!!) to create the title of the page; I simply stamped the title on cardstock and fussy cut it. A few drops of black ink completes the page.I love how these entries came together so easily just with a few pieces from the collection. The Home for the Holidays stamp set is one of my favourites, thus far. Remember to stop by the store to check the new collection. It is beautiful!Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions on how this came together. See you all soon!
