Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's post, I've created this cute So Much World Card, perfect to send a note in to a friend or loved one. To create my card, I've used the No Place Like Home Collection as well as stamps from the Talk Foodie to Me Collection and The Where to Next? Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of the green damask patterned paper from the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the brick patterned paper from the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Flip the paper over and fussy cut one of the tea cups out. Ink the edges of the rectangle and tea cup using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3" Stitched Rectangle out of the light blue chevron patterned paper from the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the window paper out of the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack, fussy cut one of the windows out. Ink the edges of the window using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Cut two border strips off the bottom of the two of the patterned papers from the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack. Cut one border strip down to 4 1/4", then cut 1/4" off the end on an angle. Cut other border strip down to 3 1/4", then cut 1/4" off the end on an angle. Ink the edges of both border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the coloured house patterned out of the No Place Like Home 12x12 Paper Pack, fussy cut seven houses out. Ink the edges of the houses using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Talk Foodie To Me 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the label. Apply Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to the label and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Fussy cut the label out. Ink the edges of the label using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 1 1/2" Stitched Circle out of white cardstock. From the Where to Next? 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the So Much World Quote. Apply Stormy Sky Distress Ink to the quote stamp and stamp in the middle of the circle. Distress the edges of the circle. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the 3" rectangle to the left hand side of the 3 1/2" rectangle. Foam square the 3 1/2" rectangle to the middle of the 4" rectangle.
Adhere the 4" border strip 1 1/2" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand side of the 3" rectangle. Adhere the 3" border strip slightly overtop of the bottom of the 4" border strip.
Use foam squares to adhere the window to the left hand side of the 3" rectangle, the window will sit overtop of the border strips. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the label so that it covers part of the window and part of the border strips.
Adhere the seven houses as desired above the label and window.
Adhere the circle quote so that it sits partially on the window and label. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the tea cup to the bottom right of the circle quote.
To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 8", score at 4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
