Hello, Jenn here!!! Have you seen the new amazing releases from Wild Whisper? I was so excited to get all my new goodies and start creating :D The first thing I knew I wanted to play with is the new license plate 6x8 stamp set from the Road Trip collection. What a great stamp set and just perfect to help me complete my cross Canada roadtrip album.
I decided to use the stamp to make the title page for my album. I stared by stamping the outline of the license plate onto some white cardstock. I stamped the word Canada at the bottom, then used the individual letters to to spell RDTRP across the license plate. I wrote 20 and 18 in the spaces for the dates with a Sharpie marker. After fussy cutting around the stamped image, I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a foam applicator to add some colour and make the license plate look aged. When the ink was dry, I went over the entire piece with a crackle glaze to make the license plate shiny, hard, and crackle around the edges.
While the license plate dried, I picked out thickers from my stash and used them to creat my title, "No dress rehearsal, this is our life" by the Tragically Hip. I've been keeping a piece of paper from the Fancy Pants Dream Big collection for the title page because I love that it is picture of a road headed towards the horizon with a blue sky above. I put my title in the sky, and then added the license plate right where the road meets the sky, in the center of the page, and then added one of the metal pieces, and a flair under the license plate.
Finally, I stamped Alberta - Newfoundland/Labrador under the embellishments and then scattered some matching exclusive SpeigelMom Scraps sequins around the page. I finished the title page with a sprinkle of gold Color Shine. I've never made a 12x12 page that doesn't have a photo, but absolutely love how this turned out :) Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! You can find the process video on my Youtube channel, and remember to use DTJENN at checkout to get 10% off your next Wild Whisper purchase. Until next time, Happy Scrapping :)
