Happy Independence Day to all of our American friends! We hope that you had a safe and very festive long weekend. Today we have Rachel Stewart sharing a wonderful layout that shows how versatile the Strong & Free collection is! It would work wonderfully for a 4th of July layout too, but here she has used it to document a beautiful rose garden photo. From here we will let Rachel take it away!
Great news! The new Strong & Free collection is beautiful and SO versatile, even if Canada is not your home country ;) It is my favorite collection to date. I love the beautiful patterns and soft but vibrant color palette.
For this project I started with coordinating splatters on white cardstock. I used my embossing gun to dry these because I'm impatient. I then stitched on some white crepe paper in an accordion style and began layering a few patterned papers over top of it. I also took advantage of a cut file meant to coordinate with the World's Best collection, and used the beautiful Northern lights printed paper for this.
On a side note, I'm so jealous of anyone who gets to see this beautiful natural phenomenon regularly. Being in the Southern US, I never have. But it's definitely on my bucket list.
I typically always want to add a little black to my pages, so I used an arrow stamp from the Adventure collection along with a few doodles and journaling.
Finally, I adhered a few sequins from the coordinating sequin mix found in the shop. I just love how well these products go with my picture - a snapshot I took at a rose garden in Portland, Oregon. I'm SO happy with how my project turned out. I hope you'll play around with this beautiful new collection.
