Hello Wild Whisper Fans! This week on the blog I am sharing an easy tag project using the Play in the Dirt Collection. I love this collection, especially the beautiful vibrant colors and the playful quotes. This quote from the Play in the Dirt ephemera pack really spoke to me this week. “Nature does not hurry and yet everything is accomplished.”
To create this project, start by cutting the lime green paper down to the size of the tag (3 1/8” by 6 ¼”) and adhering it to the tag. Trim the corners and re-punch the hole at the top of the tag.
Add Tim Holtz Distress Inks Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint through the Nicole Wright Fanciful Blossoms stencil, blending out past the stencil- make sure to leave some of the original paper showing through.
Cut the brown wood paper to 1 ½” by 5 5/8” and the Butterfly Paper to 2 ½” by 4 ¼”. Overlap the patterned paper to create layers and adhere with your favorite adhesive. Add the floral image and the quote.
To finish off this project, add Tim Holtz Distress Stains to the crinkle ribbon. Add the ribbon to the tag and then add charms pinned to the ribbon with a safety pin. I used the Play in the Dirt Sequins as part of the charms adding the leaf and long curved sequins with jump rings to the paper clip.
