How do you include the fur babies in your life in your memory albums? Do you like have loads of scraps or some busy patterned papers that you want to use? What about all of those branding strips that we all save? Today, I wanted to show you a fun and easy way to use those patterned papers or branding strips to create a fun look.
I knew that I wanted to use these three gorgeous patterned papers from the new Fur Babies Mini-Collection. For this layout, they just worked so perfectly together! I cut them into strips and created a paper weaving that would fit perfectly behind the heart that I had traced and cut out of white cardstock. I added a tiny black cardstock mat to the entire layout and then added a black hand-stitched border around my heart to tie everything together.
I used some cards from the cut-apart sheet in the same Fur Babies collection as well to create my title element and also to create that dimensional paw print embellishment.
I finished off the layout by adding a branding strip border to that 3x4 title card as well as just a couple wood veneer hearts around my photo element and I was done. Keeping the embellishments simple on purpose allows the photo to be the star of the show and the gorgeous paper weaving to act in the supporting role.
Today, I challenge you to dig into your scraps, busy patterned papers, or even your branding strips, and create a fun paper weaving element for a page! Be sure to tag me so that I can see your gorgeous creation too! I would love it if you would stop by and check out the process video that goes along with this layout as well!
