Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of paper crafting? What do you like to do in your downtime or to relax and, more importantly, have you ever documented that part of what makes you…well...you? I love to make sure that these little stories and simple pieces of myself are documented because they are an importance piece of me. Today, I decided to document my love of reading. I enjoy pretty much every genre and even love to challenge myself with those online lists of best books that are everywhere these days.
I recently saw the phrase somewhere that just said “I often read past my bedtime” and it really stuck with me so I decided it would make the perfect long title. I used some of the gorgeous patterned paper from the new Classic Woodgrains and More Adventures collections to create the backing for a cut file of the word “READ” The fun colors in those two collections just work perfectly together.
I then grabbed the More Adventures card pack along with a doily to create the layers behind my photos. For those, I just used the Project Life app to create two 3x4 photos from a book I’m reading right now. I decided to fussy cut the card that says “Chase Your Story” and use it on top of my second photo to add some dimension and a pop of color.
I finished off my title with some black puffy alphabet stickers as well as a small doily in the top left corner. I once again fussy cut the trail marker sign that was part of the cut-apart sheet in that More Adventures paper collection. I just love the simplicity and impact of the different elements on this page and how well both of these collections work together.
