I started my layout by taking the background patterned paper with the trees at the bottom. I added colour to the trees using alcohol inks. First, one tree at a time, I covered them with Blending Solution. Then added drops of the colours I wanted to use and moved the paper around until I got the coverage I wanted. Repeat this will all the trees and then let dry completely. I came back after and added a little more colour to a couple of the trees.
I chose ink sprays that coordinated with my earthy layout and splattered them across the layout. Let dry again. Using Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool, I then blended the edges of the background. I inked the edges of all layers created in this layout.
Next I matted my 4x6 photo in white and then black cardstock. I cut a larger mat from patterned paper and inked the edges. Add the matted photo to this layout using foam tape.
Add the photo to the middle of the layout above the tress. Then I added a little border strip that matched my layout to the very bottom of the page.
I used a combination of letter stickers from my stash to create my title that I added the left of my matted photo. Then added a little simple journaling below the matted photo.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
