Happy Mother's Day Card by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! Mother's Day is only 9 days away and it's time to start thinking about creating a special card for your mom or that special women that you look up to in life. To create my Mother's Day Card, you'll need the brand new Sensations Collection by Pam Bray Designs. Grab a cup of your favourite Springtime beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, die cut a 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of white cardstock. Place a 3 1/2" Stitched Circle in the middle of the rectangle and die cut it out. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Sensations Paper Pack by Pam Bray Designs, you'll need the white doily paper. Die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of the paper. Die cut a 3" Stitched Circle out of the middle of the 4" stitched rectangle. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Pink/Orange dot paper, die cut a 3 1/2" stitched circle. From the backside of the same paper, fussy cut three of the blue butterflies out. Distress the edges of the circle. Ink the edges of the circle and butterflies using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the red, white and blue flower paper, fussy cut one white flower and one blue flower. Ink the edges of both flowers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the May Your Day Be Happy 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the large floral stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of watercolour paper. Colour the image in using a waterbrush and watercolours or whatever colouring medium you feel comfortable with. Fussy cut the floral image out. Ink the edge of the floral image using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the Sensations Flair, choose one of the flair buttons.
Use a stamp or die cut image to cut out the Happy Mother's Day sentiment. I used the Words 3 - Happy Holidays die from Elizabeth Craft Designs to cut the sentiment out of white cardstock.
Adhere the 4" stitched rectangle to the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle. Adhere the 3 1/2" circle to the back side of the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle, make sure the pink/orange dots on the paper show.
Foam square the floral stamped image to the left hand side of the circle on the 4" stitched rectangle.
In amongst the floral image, adhere the three blue butterflies and the flair button as desired.
Adhere the Happy Mother's Day sentiment to the right hand side of the floral image. Adhere the two flowers to the top right side of the circle on the 4" rectangle.
To finish the card, cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
Here is the finished Happy Mother's Day Card.
