I started with a sketch from Scrapbookin’ Adventures and cut out the pencil card from the cut apart sheet in the 12x12 paper pack. I cut it again horizontally so I could extend it behind the crumpled paper cardstock (which I love!) and used a notebook border punch along the top edge. I decided to stick to a fairly primary colour scheme and used watercolour pencils to add light colour to the neutral book paper from the One More Chapter 12x12 paper pack. It is thick enough that it took the watercolours beautifully! I grabbed a piece of ephemera from an older Tim Holtz pack and cut it horizontally after adding Distress Oxide Ink around the edges. I added it below and above the photo to look like it extended. The pencil and sentiments above the photo are cut from the branding strips on papers in the pack - I love the little goodies you’ll find on the Wild Whisper branding strips! I rounded the corners on the star card, which was cut out of the cut apart sheet, and punched a hole to create a tag. Some Stickles add coordinating sparkle inside the star shapes.
I created a little ribbon badge by stitching on a circle of paper from the paper pack onto a scalloped circle and adding a cute pencil flair from the One More Chapter flair pack. I love the lined paper cardstock- perfect to journal directly on the background! A bit of Tattered Angels Rose Gold Glimmer Mist, some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and some machine stitching finish off the page.
