Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be back on the blog today as I've been able to play with one of the four new collections that was just released. The Feel the Beat collection is perfect for documenting and creating all sorts of music themed projects. To create my Feel the Beat tag, I used the paper pack, ephemera, flair and card pack. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home.
To start, you'll need a tag that measures 3 1/8" x 6 1/4". Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the paper pack, you'll need the ticket stub paper. Trace the tag around the paper and cut the tag out. Use a whole punch to punch a whole at the top of the patterned paper tag. Ink the edges of the patterned paper tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the beam paper, cut a piece that measures 2 7/8" x 5 1/2". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the music paper, cut a piece that measures 2 5/8" x 5 1/4". Place the brick stencil over the paper and use a palette knife and Texture Paste - Transparent Matte to to put the paste through the stencil as desired. Once the paste has dried, ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cut apart paper, fussy cut the ticket number out. Ink the edges of the ticket number using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip down to 2 3/4". Cut the other border strip down to 2 1/2". Ink the edges of both border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the card pack, you'll need the headphones card, the grey instrument card and the Feel the Beat card. Cut the headphones card down to 2 7/8" x 3 7/8". Cut the grey instrument card down to 2 7/8" x 3 7/8". Cut the Feel the Beat card down to 2 1/2" x 3 3/4". Ink the edges of all of the cards using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the ephemera pack, you'll need two ticket stubs, three notes, drumsticks and a guitar. Fussy cut the images out, removing the white border around them. Ink the edges of all the images using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
