Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's project, I've created this pretty Enjoy the Day Friend Card. To create my card, I've used a variety of the new products from Pam Bray's Simplicity Collection as well as her new stamp and stencil. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, choose two patterned papers from the Simplicity 12x12 Paper Pack. From the first patterned paper, die cut a 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of it. From the second piece of patterned paper, die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of it. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of white cardstock. Place the Honeycomb Flair stencil on the rectangle. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink over the stencil. Remove the stencil. Distress the edges fo the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Little Things 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the bee and the dragonfly stamps. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to each of the stamps and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Reapply ink to the bee and stamp on the same piece of watercolour cardstock. Colour the dragonfly stamp and bees in using a waterbrush and Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks - Set 1 & 2. Fussy cut the images out. Cut the words into two word strips. Ink the edges of the word strips and fussy cut images using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the word stamps and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock.
Cut the words into two word strips. Ink the edges of the word strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the 3 1/2" rectangle to the 4" rectangle. Foam square the 4" rectangle to the 4 1/2" rectangle.
Foam square the dragonfly image 1/4" from the left and all the way to the top of the 4" rectangle.
Use foam squares to adhere the two bees as desired around the dragonfly image. Adhere the two word strips to the bottom right corner of the 3 1/2" rectangle.
To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
