Christmas Comfort December Daily by Jenn

Hello, Jenn here!!!  Happy New Year to you all :)  I'm so excited to be back for another year at Wild Whisper.  There are so many great things coming up this year!!!

I'm still working away on my December Daily album from 2018 and I chose Wild Whisper's Christmas Comfort as my main collection for the album.  I am about half way through finishing the album, but I hadn't done the cover yet, so I thought it was about time to get it done.  I started by choosing the 12x12 Falala black and white paper because it matches the black seam of my album.  I just covered the album cover with adhesive, lined up my paper and flipped the album over the cut off the excess.  You could measure your cover and pre-cut your paper, but I find this way ensures that I get the perfect coverage.

I used two manufacturer's strips and a strip from the present pattern paper to create a little vertical border where the fabric from the album meets with the Falala pattern paper.  I chose a few die cuts from the ephemera pack to create a cute little embellishment cluster in the bottom left corner.  I chose two little tags layered together, and put the jeep with the Christmas tree on top of them.  I also used the left over pieces of the manufacturer's strips to give my jeep a little road to drive on.  I found two starburst die cuts and added them to the top of the page, then used the small starburst from the Christmas Comfort stamp set  to add a third one to the page.  Finally, I added some ribbon to my tags, and scattered three small gold puffy stars into my cluster.

I decided, while I had all my supplies out, to go ahead and finish a page in my album as well.  I have been skipping over day 8 for a while because I just didn't really know what to do with it.  I had two 4x6 photos and one 3x4 photo for that particular day that I had lightly adhered to one of the lined 6x8 papers that came with the album, just to keep them in place for now.  I decided to use the blue and white dotted pattern paper to cover one side of the lines paper and the arrow paper to cover the other side.  Then I matted my little 3x4 photo of our elves with the read starburst paper paper and popped it up with some foam squares at the top of the page.  I used the 4x6 card from the card pack with the presents at the bottom to matte my second photo for this page, cutting off a little bit of the photo so that it would fit inside the card, and placed that at the bottom of the page.  Then I used one of the present die cuts as a place to add my number for the day.  Finally, I added a small green label sticker to the bottom photo so I could journal on.

On the other side of the page, I matted my photo on the burlap pattern paper and placed that in the center of the page.  I found a die cut that said Falala to place at the top of the photo and red a 3x4 card that also said Falala to place at the bottom of the photo where I could do a little journalling.  To finish this side, I fussy cut the words from the die cut that says "All is calm, All is bright" so that I could use the words to frame the photo on the top and bottom.

If you would like to see how both of these projects came together, please visit my Youtube channel for the process video.  And remember to use discount code DTJENN to get 10% off your next purchase in the Wild Whisper store.  I'm so excited for another great year of amazing Wild Whisper projects, thanks so much for joining me on the journey!  Until next time, Happy Scrapping :)
