Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing my Be Brave Card is perfect for a friend or loved one going through a tough time and you can add an uplifting note in the inside of the card . To create my card, you'll need the Child at Heart Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, die cut a 1" diagonal stitched fishtail out of white cardstock. Die cut a 3/4" diagonal stitched fishtail out of a piece of patterned paper from the Child at Heart Collection. Cut the 1" fishtail down to 4 1/2". Cut the 3/4" fishtail down to 4". Distress the edges of both fishtails. Ink the edges of the fishtails using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From one of the patterned papers from the Child at Heart Collection, choose one of the border strips. Cut the border strip down to 4 1/2". Ink the edges of the border strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Child at Heart collection and die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of it. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Child at Heart collection and die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of it. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cut apart paper, fussy cut the Be Brave Bear out of the paper. Ink the edges of the bear using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Child at Heart Ephemera Pack, you'll need three arrows, two remote controls, the large rainbow and lined circle. Fussy cut around the three arrows and two remote controls. From the Child at Heart Card pack, you'll need a grey card. Cut the card down to 3 3/4" x 5". Distress the edges of the card, lined circle, large rainbow and two remote controls. Ink the edges of the card, lined circle, large rainbow, two remote controls and three arrows.
From the Child at Heart Sequin pack, you'll need a star and four light blue sequins.
Adhere the 3 1/2" rectangle to the 3 3/4" rectangle. Foam square the 3 3/4" rectangle to the 4" rectangle.
Adhere the border strip to the left hand side of the white fishtail. Adhere the patterned paper fishtail 1/2" from the left of the white fishtail. Adhere the large rainbow to the left of the patterned paper fishtail. Adhere the one remote control to the top right side of the rainbow. Adhere the other remote control to the bottom right side of the rainbow. Foam square the fishtails, rainbow and remotes 1/2" from the left and 1/4" from the top of the 4" rectangle.
Adhere the lined circle 1/4" from the right and 1 3/8" from the top of the 4" rectangle. Foam square the be brave bear to the middle of the lined circle.
Adhere the large arrow to the bottom of the Be Brave bear. Adhere the other two arrows to the top right corner of the rectangles as desired. Adhere two blue sequins to the bottom right corner of the 3 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the star to the bottom left side of the white fishtail. Adhere the other two blue sequins to the top left corner of the bear.
To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 8", score at 4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
