A Traveller's Notebook Spread by Khristina

Hi friends! Today, we live in a slightly different reality than we did a month or even a week or two ago. Some of you may find yourselves home with lots more free time for creative endeavors than before and some of you may find yourselves homeschooling or working long hours in healthcare. We appreciate and applaud you no matter which end of the spectrum you may fall into today. I have decided to document these new realities in a traveler's notebook.
I wanted to take a moment to share a simple little TN spread about one little fun story that friends in our neighborhood are doing. I am using the masculine collection because it just "felt" right to tell this story. In my neighborhood, we have several families with young children who are missing their daily adventures at the park and seeing their friends. In an attempt at something active, their families are taking them for walks or bike rides around the area as they find pockets of time without many people around. They got together and decided to start something that is sweeping the United States called "Teddy Bear Hunts." They have asked each house in the neighborhood to put a teddy bear or two in the windows so that the little ones in our neighborhood can go for a little hunt and find the bears. My kids were all about this immediately and are having fun choosing and displaying different bears each day.
Because the photo quality isn't the greatest, I printed the photos in a small size that would fit perfectly inside the frames from the Masculine collection. I then used the third frame that I fussy cut as a place to house my title. The darker colors of this collection worked perfectly with the theme of this layout. Just added a little strip of plaid and the brown leather paper across the bottom half of the layout gave my frames a place to "live" on the layout.
I then used the stamps from the Where to Next? collection to create a matching camera (I stamped this onto the inside of the one of the unused frames and cut it out so that it would match the colors perfectly) and then I also used the round frame stamp to create an area on the bottom right for an embellishment cluster as well as over the top left photo to show where the bear is hiding. I added just a few little puffy stickers and enamel dots as well as a couple of drops of Nuvo drops to each cluster. I am going to go back and add some journaling across the white space at the top to document this story from our changing reality. Are you documenting these different and uncertain times? Are you looking for little glimpses of the spirit of people reaching and helping one other? I would love to hear or see what you are creating!
xoxo,
Khristina
