Xyron Feature Week - Discover TN Layout by Rachel

Rachel Lowe is sharing a Xyron project with us today featuring Wild Whimsy! Her projects are always stunning and this one certainly does not disappoint. Rachel will take it from here!

Hello Wild Whisper friends. I LOVE the new collection, Wild Whimsy, and here is my first DT share creating with it. Also we received products from Xyron which is amazing for adhering all your paper crafts. These are the products I have used from the new Whimsy release.

I have created a Travellers Notebook spread. As much as I like project life it can be time consuming and hence why I have joined the TN movement. You can still journal in a meaningful way without losing the ‘pretty’. I also love the fact they do not take up a lot of room to store.
I wanted to create a beach layout with a twist inspired by the sand and sea paper. I wanted to create a ‘motivation and inspiration’ spread for my daughter.
I cut the sea and sand paper into two 8x4 inch strips and attached. I then cut off the sea shell border strip as in photo.
I took the turquoise paper and used a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and cut the word discover which I enlarged as I wanted it to a focal point of the left page.
I used my XYRON for my ‘Discover’ title, with it being so delicate and not wanting glue to show on my page this type of adhesive device is perfect!
I added some sequins (because sequins are gorgeous!) around my title and finished by adding the typed word Everything.
This spread had to have a mermaid so I fussy cut her from one of the 4x6 inch cards.
I love some of the themes of this collection and ‘don’t hide your magic’ features and it really fitted the theme of my spread, so I typed this phrase onto white card stock so I could used it as a sub title.
I added my photo (my daughter at the ocean last year, we were all watching the sun go down from rocks in Western Australia).
I attached the gorgeous mermaid with foam tape to create a 3D effect to my page slightly over my photo and again I finished off with some sequins.
Here are some close up photos for you:
