In typical Khristina style, I wanted to create today with a bunch of supplies from different collections. One of my absolute favorite things about Wild Whisper Designs is that the collections work so well together. This is super helpful for making sure that I use up my leftovers rather than just letting them sit in my stash. Today, I started out with a fun cut file that I wanted to use and then built my layers and brought in patterned papers from there.
I started with a few patterned papers from the Masculine collection (which are seriously perfect for any project!) and then added in one 6x6 piece from Pay Bray's Nature's Bliss collection. I used the patterned paper to back my cut file but I didn't back all of the sections. This is totally intentional on my part as I love the look of having some open areas mixed in with a cut file like this. The entire cut file is also on dimensional adhesive which really gives it some additional interest.
When I use a larger cut file element like this, I tend to include less embellishing. I cut a few leftover pieces of patterned paper into banners for the top right corner of the layout and then I just grabbed a few phrase pieces from the Adventure ephemera pack as well as a bunch of self-adhesive cork stars.
I finished everything off with a splattering of enamel dots and that was really it! Super fun and easy but a really impactful layout because of that large cut file element.
Here's the video if you would like to hear a little more about my process or see how this one came together....
I hope that you enjoyed checking out my layout and that you will give a big cut file a darker background a try! Don't be afraid to mix a bunch of collections together...Wild Whisper products are designed perfectly for that!
