Welcome to May, my friends! Does anyone else feel like April just FLEW by and was over in the blink of an eye?! I am so super excited for the new month because it brings things like interNational Scrapbooking Day, the end of our school year, and the release of a new Wild Whisper collection. This month, we are creating with the new Talk Foodie to Me collection and it is SO much fun! Between bright colors, great phrases, and lots of icons, it is the perfect collection to get us in the mood for summer and food treats!
Today, I decided to create with the hexagon paper because if you know me, then you know that I LOVE hexagons! Pairing the bright yellow with a black background worked perfectly to really make the words on the background paper come to life.
I simply took some scissors and fussy cut around the hexagons to create a bold border on the left hand side of the page. I then grabbed a sheet of mini notebook paper and the bright pink patterned paper from the collection to create a photo mat for my fun photo of my nephew with a really sweet treat.
I also fussy cut that bright pink circle from one of the pocket page cards so that when I gift this album to my sister, she can add in the story of the day. I added a few die cuts from the ephemera pack as well as my title and that was it! A couple of brightly colored enamel dots scattered around completed this simple, bright, fun look!
