Rustic Mountains Layout by Tracy

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun and messy little layout to share featuring the Tinbit Travels Collection from Wild Whisper. Here are all of the details.
Wild Whisper Products Used: Use Code DTTRACY to save on your next order
Other Products Used:
Cardstock- White, Paper Distresser, Moss, Flowers, DecoArt (Gesso- White, Acrylic Paint- White), Dylusions Paint- Desert Sand, Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage), Distress Spray Stain- Vintage Photo, Blending Tool, Toothbrush, Phrase Stickers
I started by cutting down the background patterned paper to 10.5x10.5, then I covered it with a thin coat of white gesso to lighten the colours. This makes them a little closer to the colours in my photo. I cut kraft cardstock to 11x11 and another that is a full 12x12. distress the edges of the smaller kraft layer. Set aside for now.
Using Distress inks, I blended the area where my photo was going to end up.  Next using brown spray, I splattered around that same are. Then using brown paint and a toothbrush, I splattered paint around.
Using white paint I splattered lots around the layout then dry brushed the edges of the full sheet of kraft cardstock. Let all of this dry completely.
Adhere the background layers together. Mat the 4x6 photo in white cardstock and distress the edges. Adhere to the layout using foam tape. Fussy cut out the mountain range from the patterned paper. Adhere to the bottom of the layout using 2 layers of foam tape.
Did you know that you can buy dried moss from the dollar store? Well, yes you can and I did! Using a glue gun I added dry moss around the mountain range and up the side of the photos. Next I added flowers to either side of the matted photo. The final touch was a few phrase stickers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
