Hey all! We are so happy to have Karla Yungwirth sharing her beautiful December Daily foundation pages with us today! We love how she is creating this project in our Home for the Holidays traveller's notebook. It is just gorgeous and such a nice compact size. We will let her take it from here!
Hello, it’s Karla here today with the new Home For The Holidays collection from Wild Whisper. I always mean to create a December Daily paper project, but I always seem to run out of time! This year, with this beautiful collection and traveller's notebook I am finally getting a head start and creating foundation pages for our family’s December highlights.
For the cover of my project I used this lovely 3x4 Journalling card and some of the tiny sentiment stamps in the coordinating stamp set. Some Emerald Creek Winter’s Mistake embossing powder looks beautiful on these stamped snowflakes!
On the first pages I added a spot to keep some notes about our traditions behind a pretty mixed media tag, as well as adding a page to document trimming the tree.
Be sure to check out the video where you can see how I create this tag and stamp directly onto the ribbon with the XOXO stamp.
This pretty journalling card turned into a lovely tag!
The next pages are to document the girls Christmas lists as well as a spot to record some favourite Christmas movies.
These antler stamps are one of my favourite in the set! I used the wish stamp as a tag hanging from them.
The 12x12 paper diecuts and punches beautifully, and the tiny hearts from the punch were just perfect to add as small details to my pages.
On the last pages I completed today I will be adding details from our visit to Santa and a photo of my hubby and I sitting down with a glass of wine in front of the Christmas tree one evening once the girls are in bed. Some of the beautiful SpiegelMom Scraps coordinating sequins finish off my pages and add a little bling!
I was so excited with how these tiny packages turned out! I scored the stars cut from the 12x12 paper so they would look 3D!
The diecut wine glasses and bottle finish this page off, layered on top of that awesome xoxo stamp
Now, my album is almost half done and I have a great start on documenting our holiday! I hope you’ll check out the Wild Whisper Home For The Holidays collection and start your own projects! -Karla Yungwirth
