Hi friends! It's Karla here today to share some Traveler's Notebook pages I've created using the beautiful new Out & About collection. Over the summer I took a class that Heather and Suzy offered through Wild Whisper, and it was amazing! I am lucky enough to live in the same city, and we all met up at a local park for a nature hike. They provided this exclusive notebook with the class, and I've had so much fun documenting our hike. I recently shared half the pages on my blog, and I'm so excited to share these new pages along with my process video today! I even have a flip through of the rest of the notebook at the end of the video.
I absolutely love the colours in this collection!! Those blues are my favourite, so this was really fun to work with. I started out by layering on stencils using Distress Oxide Inks and then added stamping with the beautiful images from the Out & About coordinating stamp set. I love using both the journaling cards and the 12x12 papers! Some journaling, washi tape and the exclusive Out & About sequins finish this page off.
The stencilled lines provided a great place to add a quote I found online. Adding some handwriting just accentuates the gorgeous lettering on the 'take the scenic route' journaling card, and I even found a quote to use that goes with that theme. The circle stamps on the bottom right are so awesome to use as a border, and I've really been enjoying them.
The postage stamp stamps are soooo awesome! I enjoyed stamping them randomly and adding some of the stamp images cut from one of the 12x12 pages. I cut one of the 3x4 journaling cards to use as a focal sentiment and added some cork stars for texture.
The stamps emboss so beautifully, and I loved how the diamonds turned out using the Northern Lights Embossing Powder. I really love the embossed maple leaf paper clip too! Another thing that's so cool about the 12x12 paper packs is the coordinating designs on the branding strips. One of my favourite things to do is cut them off to tuck behind my photos. Even the 'roam' sentiment came from one of the strips.
