We are so glad to welcome back our Guest Designer, Karen Price! She has another beautiful project using the Sweater Weather collection (the paper and card packs are currently sold out, but will be restocked in a few weeks). We love Karen's unique style and the way that she has used strips of paper on this design. From here we will let her take it away!
Happy to be back again to share another fall inspired layout. I took this photo during a morning walk in my neighbourhood, and knew it would coordinate perfectly with Wild Whisper’s Sweater Weather collection. I had such a difficult time selecting just one or two of these perfectly fall themed papers for my layout, so the only solution was to use them all! After cutting strips of each of the patterned papers, I used the branding strips which worked as spacers between each strip.
I wanted to keep this layout “simple” and to me, that means white space, with minimal embellishments. So I cut out a cluster of leaves, added a twine bow, and interspersed a few of the coordinating Sweater Weather sequins in the top left hand corner.
In the bottom right hand corner, I stamped the “I love fall most of all” in Versamark and using Emerald Creek’s champagne embossing powder, heat embossed it and I loved the results: so much so, I used it to add some heat embossed polk-a-dots to the wood veneer leaves. A few more sequins, and I called it done!
