Hello Paradise Layout by Katelyn G

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm back on the blog today sharing my Hello Paradise Layout which features the brand new Back to Basics Collection as well as the Palm Paradise Collection. To create my layout, I've used the Back to Basics Cardstock, the Palm Paradise Paper Pack and the Palm Paradise Flair. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage as I will walk you through how to recreate my piece at home.

To start, you'll need the tropical flower paper from the Palm Paradise Paper Pack. Cut the border strip off the bottom of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Next, you'll need the strip paper from the same paper pack. Cut the paper down to 11 1/2" x 11 1/2". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the second floral paper piece, fussy cut four orange flowers, four red flowers and two- two flower bunches. Ink the edges of all of the flowers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a piece that measures 1" x 3 1/4" from the grey cactus paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the fruit paper, cut a piece that measures 1 1/4" x 2 1/2". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the cut apart paper, you'll need the toucan rectangle, the good times rectangle, the orange square, the cactus square and the hello paradise square. Cut the hello paradise square down to 1 3/4" x 2 1/4". Ink the edges of the pieces using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

You'll need to choose five border strips. Cut border strip number one to 3 1/4". Cut borders trip number two to 3". Cut border strip number three down to 2 3/4". Cut borders trip number four down to 3 1/4". Border strips one to three will go on the right hand side of the page. Cut border strip number five down to 3 1/2". Cut border strip number six down to 4". Border strips four to six go on the left hand side of the page. Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Back to Basics Cardstock, you'll need the pink cardstock paper. You'll need to cut two pieces, the first piece will measure 1" x 5" and the second piece will measure 1" x 4". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Before assembling your layout, you'll need to choose three Flair buttons from the Palm Paradise Flair.
