Hello dear Wild Whisper friends, it is Giorgia here again from Italy for my second project as Guest Designer of the month – here you can find my first post.
I received the brand new travel themed collection Out & About and I really am in love with it: me and husband travel a lot, so I used this collection to make a mini album about our Spain road trip.
This collection is beautiful, I love its vibrant colors and the patterns used.
Let's see how I realized this mini album: for the cover I trim a heavy white cardstock to 30x12 cm and score it in a half.
I choose four patterned papers and a coordinated jute twine that I will use to bind the mini. I trim the patterned papers to 30x12 cm and score them in a half. I made 7 of them.
Make two holes on the crease of each paper and also in the cover. Put all one the pages one inside the other and place all of them inside the cover. Open the mini at its half and pass the jute ribbon through the holes to bind it. Make a knot to secure the ribbon. I added a tassel to decorate it.
To decorate the cover I trim the amazing patterned paper with the Canada map slightly smaller than the white base and I added the beautiful big wood veener badge – I love the quote!
Now I will show you how I decorated the inside pages. They are colorful and I mix a lot of patterns, as I always do in my projects.
I used almost all the fabulous cards in the collection for journaling, but also for layering, and also all the small strips at the bottom of patterned papers – always remember to save them as they are really useful scraps to work with! To add an extra sparkle I used the lovely coordinating sequins pack. It is filled with sequins of different colors and sizes, I love it!
This card with the watercolored globe is my favorite!
