Hello friends! Karla here today with a fun pocket page layout using the new Wild Whisper Designs Talk Foodie To Me collection. I absolutely love the Smarties paper in the 12x12 Paper Pack, and as soon as I saw these photos of a gingerbread house we made at Christmas one year I knew I wanted to pair them together! I love how versatile this foodie collection is - pizza, beer, fruit, cookies, candy... You'll find so many possibilities for fun food layouts.
I used a We R Memory Keepers pocket page design from my stash and added that fun Smartie paper down the left side. In the top pocket I layered the Smartie journaling card from the Card Pack on a 4x6 piece of pink cardstock and created a 'watermelon gumdrop' by trimming the white area around the edge of one of the Ephemera diecut pieces and gluing glitter on top. On the right of the card I added my journaling and used some of the pretty Wild Whisper Blue Island Slush embossing powder to add a glittery sugar effect around the edge of the dessert Ephemera piece.
I trimmed out the Sugar Coat Everything piece and added more sugary goodness with the Pineapple Dreams embossing powder. I love how sparkly both the yellow and blue powders are! The tiny watermelons from the 12x12 Paper Pack reminded me of gumdrops when they were cut in half, so I trimmed off a strip and used them on the page in various areas. I used my Xyron Sticker Maker to add adhesive to both the Sugar Coat Everything and Watermelon Paper Strips, which worked really well to adhere these to the photos and top of the pocket page. Some of the pretty sequins from the collection add just a little more bling and shine.
I coloured in stamped images from a Your Next Stamp set and added them to the page to continue with the candy theme. I love that this page documents a Christmas tradition, but in a fun way that isn't traditional!
