There is going to be a whole lot of wonderful showing up on the blog over the next little while, as 5 new Wild Whisper collections are launching on July 13th and they are ALL gorgeous!
Today I thought I'd share a sneak peek at Feel the Beat.
I have made this 4.25"x5.5" card topper using a couple of the pages from Feel the Beat. I haven't put it on a card yet, as I'm still trying to decide whether or not to make a card with it or use it on a layout... stay tuned! ;)
I made the distressed portion of the card by inking up a piece of cardstock using Distress Oxides: Vintage Photo, Hickory Smoke, Wilted Violet, and Aged Mahogany. The Wilted Violet was a little bright, but I found that a little Hickory Smoke brushed over the top, brought it to the right shade for the patterned paper.
Sprinkled some water over top and blotted it off with a paper towel.
Next I dry embossed it with an embossing folder and then heated Rugged Red embossing powder on the ridges.
I also used the Rugged Red embossing powder on the edge of the focal pieces.
What's a Wild Whisper collection without Spiegelmom Scraps sequins??? Always LOVE the sequins!
