Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing my FA LA LA Tag which features the brand new Christmas Comfort Collection which released today. As soon as I saw this collection, I knew that it would be perfect for creating gift tags and tags for all the Christmas gifts I will be giving out this year. So for todays project, I've used a variety of the papers from the Christmas Comfort Collection, the Ephemera and the Flair buttons to create my FA LA LA Tag. You'll want to grab a glass of your favourite Christmas beverage as I will walk you through how to recreate my piece at home.
To start, choose one of the Flair buttons from the Christmas Comfort Flair package.
From the Christmas Comfort Ephemera pack, take out the FA LA LA and fussy cut the tag out. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of both the tag and word using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two of the tear strips from the bottom of the patterned papers from the Christmas Comfort Paper Pack. Cut one strip to 3 7/8". Cut the second strip to 3 3/8". Ink the edges of the strips using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the card pack, cut the tree card down to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4". Cut the present card down to 1" x 2 1/2". Fussy cut one of the arrows out of the arrow card. Distress the edges of the tree and present cards. Ink the edges of the tree card, present card and the arrow using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the image paper from the Christmas Comfort Paper Pack, fussy cut the jeep with tree, cut out the fa la la star square and the bow square. Cut the bow square down to 2" x 1 1/4". Distress the edges of the fa la la star square and bow square. Ink the edges of the square and jeep using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the paper pack, cut a piece of the red/white star paper that measures 3 3/8" x 4 5/8". Round all four corners.
Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the paper pack, cut a piece of the berry branch paper to 3 1/8" x 4 3/8". Round all four corners of the paper. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose one more piece of patterned paper to cut out the regular tag die. Distress the edges of the cut out tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Take out one ivory tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the patterned paper tag to the ivory tag. Adhere the red/white star paper to the patterned paper tag. Adhere the berry branch paper to the red/white star paper.
Adhere the 3 7/8" strip 1 1/4" from the bottom and right to the left hand edge of the tag. Adhere the 3 3/8" strip 7/8" from the bottom and right to the left hand edge of the tag.
Adhere the present card 1/4" from the left and 1 1/4" from the top of the tag. Adhere the arrow tag 1/8" from the right and 1 1/2" from the top of the tag. Adhere the bow square 1 1/8" from the left and 1 1/4" from the top of the tag.
Adhere the fa la la star square to the tree paper. Foam square the tree square 5/8" from the left and 1 3/4" from the top of the tag. Foam square the jeep with the tree to the middle of the fa la la star square.
Adhere the arrow 1" from the left and 1 1/8" from the bottom of the tag. Adhere the flair button to the left of the arrow. Adhere the FA LA LA sentiment to the bottom right side of the jeep. To finish off the tag, tie a red ribbon at the top of the tag.
