Brave Wings Altered Pocket by Cathy

Cathy Potosky is back today with a stunning project using an Eileen Hull die and the new Wild Whimsy collection! Cathy will take it from here!
It's time for my final project using the fabulous Wild Whimsy Collection. I am so all over these darn dragonfly wings! I want these wings on everything right now.
I first painted the wings, stained the bodies and made the little antenna and then put all the pieces together. The best part of the wing stamp is that you can use anything you want to create a body with!
I put my dragonflies aside, after I very maturely made them fly around my craft table! And put together and painted the Eileen Hull Flower Pocket. I painted it it with Ken Oliver Mineral Spirits and Liquid Metals. It has been all about the shimmer with this amazing collection.
Once I has the pocket done, I searched my stash for something to fill the bottom, I used to have floral foam but of course when I needed it, I had none. So I pulled out some fake moss from a different floral display I had (use what you have people! lol ), sprayed it with TH Distress Spray in Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover and tucked that in.
I cut out the words from one of the cards in the card pack, edged them in black soot and glued them on to the base. Then I attached my dragonflies with hot glue where I wanted them to sit and added some flowers from my stash.
Here are a few close ups of the back of the flower pocket and my little dragonflies.
Make sure you check back often to see all of the amazing projects featuring the Wild Whimsy Collection! And get your order in...I think I need to order more already, so I can have more dragonfly cards!
