A Starburst Layout by Jenn

Jenn Gagne is back today with one last More Adventures project! Later this week our newest mini collection will be releasing, so you will get to see a bunch of inspiration for that, Classic Woodgrains, combined with other collections. For today, Jenn will take it away and don't miss her process video below!

Hi everyone, I'm back at it with the More Adventures collection this week I decided to try something a little different. I started by choosing some 12x12 papers to form the basis of a sunburst pattern on some white cardstock. I then added stamping with the Adventure stamp set and some Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in one of the bursts, followed by wood veneer hearts in all shapes and sizes, watercolours with the smooshing technique, washi tape, sequins, and sewing to fill in all of the triangles of the sunburst.

Once my sunburst was done, I found some coordinating papers from a Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad and layered them behind my photo, then matted the whole thing on some more paper from More Adventures and used some fun foam to give it dimension. I fussy cut the sign post from the 12x12 cut apart sheet, and the "Find Your Wild" from the 4x3 card and added them to my picture as the title.

True to my style, I kept everything casual, no measuring or fussing over straight lines. This is definitely a trick that works well if you trying a new technique (the sewing in my case... there was no way my lines were going to be straight, lol) because it makes any 'mistakes' you might make look intentional and like they are part of the design. I think this ended up being a really fun and interesting layout, and I really enjoyed making it!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time, Happy Scrapping!
