Paradise Found Traveler's Notebook Spread with Khristina

Hi friends!

Today, I am throwing it back to last month's release-The Floral Collection-since I hadn't had a chance to create with it yet. One of my absolute favorite parts of that whole collection are the two stamp sets--especially the little one with the palm leaf. This adorable stamp started the entire inspiration for this traveler's notebook layout. Documenting my travels to Hawaii (and any ocean really) is super important because I just love the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing.

For me, when I create in a traveler's notebook, it is easier to create the entire two page spread as one layout. I usually lay my two pages right next to each other on my desk and create as if they are one piece and then just cut my whole design in half when I am done to put it into the notebook. Does anyone else do that?

I started out with that palm leaf stamp and my black ink pad and created my own background by just stamping the leaf in various directions right on the white cardstock background. I made sure to have a scrap paper handy so that I could stamp off the edges of the page as I prefer that look.

I kept the rest of the layout fairly simple. I just added a strip of tropical patterned paper behind my photo and then layered up a few die cut pieces from the Floral ephemera pack below my photo. I used dimensional adhesive behind the ones on the ends and the top corner just to create some additional interest. I finished the layout off with a simple puffy sticker title and a few glittery enamel hearts.

There is a process video on my You Tube channel as well if you want to check out that out as well. Today, I want to challenge you to choose a small stamp and create your own background design either for a scrapbook layout or a page in your traveler's notebook. If you share on social media, make sure to tag me because I wanna see what you come up with!

I like to use double page layouts, but I can’t see that you split your photo. Did you?
