Hello, Jenn here with a new layout using the amazing new Where To Next? collection from Wild Whisper. This collection has such a fun, vintage-y feel to it with lots of great old suitcases and tags, and plenty of great quotes. I love this this collection mixes so well with their previous travel collections as well, giving you so much flexibility stretch.
Going through my travel albums, I came across these two photos still left to be scrapped and knew they were perfect for this collection. I remember taking the picture of my family staring out at the Bay of Fundy and over hearing my daughter say "where is the next adventure"?. Perfect story to tell using a collection called "Where to Next?" right?!!!
I kept it very simple because I wanted to colours and quotes to really stand out. I chose the teal lined 12x12 paper for my background, then matted my pictures with the black paper, and nestled them right beside the quote on the background paper. I pulled out both the yellow and peach little journalling circles from the ephemera pack, along with a tag, a stamp, and two little word strips. I added some embroidery floss to the top of the tag and then used the ephemera to create two little embellishment clusters on top and to the left of the photos. Sticking with the same colours of yellow and peach, I cut out two pieces from the 12x12 cut apart sheet that were the right colours and layered them to the right of the photos. I chose the teal flair with a camera on it to put on the right as well.
I finished the layout with a scattering of sequence from SpiegelMom Scraps, and added some embroidery floss to the right and left cluster, to match the tag at the top. I used a white pen to write some journalling directly onto the lines of the background paper and also added some sketchy lines around the edge of the layout. I love how quickly this layout came together. Once I decided on a colour scheme, it was so easy to pull out a few elements from the collection in those colours and put them all together.
