Neon Lights Tag by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be on the blog today sharing with you a new project featuring the awesome new City Lights collection. To create my Neon Lights Tag, I've used the Paper Pack and Flair from the collection. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home.
To start, you'll need a 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" black tag.
From Tim Holtz's Cityscape, Skyline die, die cut one of the city lines out of black cardstock. Trim the city line down to 4". Round the bottom corners of the city line.
From the City Lights Paper Pack, you'll need the piece of paper with the different signs. Fussy cut the stop light and graffiti art work. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the papers, you'll need to choose two of the border strips from the bottom of the papers. Cut one border strip down to 3 1/2". Cut the second border strip down to 3 1/4". Ink the edges of both border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the ticket paper, fussy cut four tickets. Ink the edges of all four tickets using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cut apart paper, cut out the Neon Lights card. Cut the card down to 2 3/4" x 3 1/2". Distress the edges of the card. Ink the edges of the card using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Graffiti paper, die cut the Regular Tag album out of the patterned paper. Cut a second piece from the same paper that measures 2 7/8" x 3 5/8", you'll use the yellow side. Distress the edges of the paper and tag. Ink the edges of the tag and patterned paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the brick with graffiti patterned paper, cut one piece that measures 3 1/4" x  4 1/8". On this piece of paper, tear a bit down at the top and on the left side of the paper. Round all four corners. Cut a second piece of patterned paper that measures 3" x 3 3/4", you'll use the pink side. Distress the edges of both papers. Ink the edges of both papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cityscape patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/8". Round all four corners. Distress the edges of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the patterned paper cut out tag to the black tag. Adhere the cityscape patterned paper to the tag. Adhere the brick with graffiti patterned paper to the cityscape patterned paper.
Place foam adhesive at the bottom of the die cut cityline and adhere at the bottom of the tag.
Adhere the neon lights card to the yellow piece of patterned paper. Adhere the yellow piece of patterned paper to the pink patterned paper. In the top right corner of the pink patterned paper, adhere one of the tickets.
On the right hand side of the neon lights card, adhere the stop light and another ticket. On the left hand side of the neon lights card, adhere the two border strips. Foam square the neon lights card to the right hand side of the tag, pull some of the cityscape up, so that it sits over top of the neon lights card.
In the top left corner of the neon lights card, adhere a third ticket. To the left of the border strips, adhere the graffiti art. Adhere the last ticket at the bottom of the neon lights card.
Choose two of the Flair buttons out of the package.
Adhere the two flair buttons to the top left side of the neon lights card.

At the top of the tag, tie a piece of black ribbon. To finish off the tag, use a paint brush to splatter white spray stain over top of the tag as desired.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag.
And here is my finished Neon Lights Tag.
