Hello dear Wild Whisper friends, it is Giorgia here from Italy and I am thrilled to be Guest Designer this month!
I am in love with the amazing Wild Whisper products! I received the brand new travel themed collection Out & About and it is really perfect for me, since me and my hubby love to travel the world, so my first project is a layout about our first US trip.
This collection is beautiful, I love its vibrant colors and the patterns used.
Let's see how I realized the layout: background is a 30x30 white texturized cardstock. I cut 3 stripes of Wild Whisper patterned papers: they measure 3x30 cm (remember to cut out previously the bottom strip and save it for next projects!)
From these stipes, cut 3x3 cm squares and then cut each of them in a half to have 2 triangles.
Glue down the triangles on the white cardstock, alternating patterns, as shown in picture.
Repeat it for 3 times, and you will have this result:
Now that you created the background, start layering: I added a big card from the pocket scrapbooking package (since I don’t do Project Life, I love to use these cards in alternative ways!)
Continue layering the picture with other cards, in small size.
Another way to use these beautiful cards is by fussy cutting them as I did in my layout: I fussy cut the word journey from a small card and glued it on top of picture.
Now it is time to embellish: add stickers and brads. I used clear stickers to add interest and movement; I attach some of them on colored cardstock and fussy cut them, while others are applied directly on the page. Using foam tape to adhere the arrow helps to add depth!
The final touch are sequins! I love sequins, I use them a lot on my projects. The package from Out & About collection is great because it contains several sizes of sequins (and also cute leaves!). I added sequins inside the circles on project life card, because I thought it was funny!
