Cathy Potosky is here today sharing a stunning paper lantern and a Mother's Day card! We truly admire how she has worked through her own loss to create something beautiful and inspiring. From here, we will let Cathy take it away!
Hello Wild Whisper addicts! I love this new collection! The World's Best Collection is the perfect one for the upcoming Mother's Day and Father's Day with amazing designs and colours for endless creations!
I am facing my 4th Mother's Day without my Mom, so I haven't made anything for this day in a few years. But I saw this collection, loved it, had a bit of a cry and decided I needed to make something to celebrate Moms. I may give it to a Mom I know or maybe I'll sell it to my kids and make them give it back to me!! LOL
I used the key background paper and the David Tutera Wedding Favor die from Sizzix, and I used the Tim Holtz Mover and Shaper Die for the dress form.
I used white cardstock and stamped the words "World's Best" and "Mom" and used the dotted line stamp as well. Once the dress forms were cut out I edged them all in Spun Sugar. I also used one of the little wooden keys and embossed them in Charred Gold from Emerald Creek.
I made a card with the dress forms and the stamped images. I also added some gemstones to jazz up the dresses a bit and add some texture.
I attached all the pieces together for the favour box. I decided to use it as a little tea light holder instead. I tied the top up with a ribbon and a fussy cut lock from the World's Best Stamp Set and one of the new release wooden keys.
I have so many ideas after seeing this collection! Good thing Father's Day is up next, can't wait to make something for my Dad.
Hope you all have a great day and get your order in for this incredible collection! And don't forget the wood veneers and stamps - the possibilities are endless!
Thank you so much to Cathy for sharing her stunning projects with us! We know it must be incredibly hard to experience Mother's Day after your own mom has passed, so we are sending all of our love to Cathy and anyone else who has to deal with such a loss.
