All is Calm, All is Bright Gift Card Holder by Katelyn G

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog sharing one more project for this month. My All is Calm, All is Bright Gift Card Holder features the Christmas Comfort Collection. To create my project, I've used a variety of the papers from the Christmas Comfort Collection and the Ephemera pack to create my gift card holder. You'll want to grab a glass of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my piece at home.

To start, you'll need the holly branch paper. From Eileen Hull's Credit Card, Sleeve & Tags die, you'll need the large rectangle, the tag and the scallop die. On the holly branch paper, die cut the large rectangle. Place the scallop onto the now die cut large rectangle 1 1/2" from the bottom of the rectangle and run through your die cutting machine. Repeat the previous step, but this time place the scallop die 7/8" above the first die cut scallop and run through your die cutting machine. Flip the paper over and die cut a tag out of the tree side of the paper. Ink the edges of the rectangle and the tag using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Next you'll need the red/white star paper. From the red/white star paper, die cut the small rectangle from the Credit Card, Sleeve & Tags die. Flip the paper over and die cut the large rectangle out of the plaid patterned paper. Die cut the tag out of the plaid patterned paper also. Ink the edges of the tag, the small rectangle and large rectangle using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the word paper, cut a piece that measures 1 1/4" x 2". Cut a second piece that measures 3/4" x 2 3/4". Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a piece of burlap paper that measures 1 1/4" x 2 3/4". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose a border strip and cut it down to 2 3/4". Ink the edges of the border strip using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the ephemera pack you'll need a bow, the truck, an arrow, a starburst, All is Calm saying and four presents. Fussy cut the arrow, the four presents and the truck with tree out. Cut the All is calm saying apart. Ink the edges of all of the pieces using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Place adhesive along the edges of the large holly branch rectangle and adhere it to the red/white star large rectangle.

Adhere the 3/4" word paper 1/4" from the bottom of the holly branch paper. Adhere the border strip to the middle of the 3/4" word paper. Foam square the truck to the right side of the word paper.

Use respositionable adhesive to adhere the gift card to the small red/white star rectangle. Foam square the bow at the top of the red/white star paper.

Adhere the other word paper to the tree tag. Foam square the starburst to the middle of the word paper. Adhere the arrow to the middle of the starburst. Foam square the All is Calm saying to the middle of the starburst.

To finish off the tag, tie red ribbon to the top.

Place the gift card and All is Calm tag in the top portion of the gift card holder.

Adhere the burlap paper to the plaid tag. Use foam squares to layer the presents at the bottom of the tag. Foam square the All is Bright saying to the top portion of the burlap paper.

To finish off the top of the tag, tie a piece of black ribbon.

To finish off your gift card holder, place the All is Bright tag on the bottom cut out portion of the gift card holder on the left hand side.
