Hi friends! This year, I decided to participate in the 52 weeks project. The way I understand it is that the idea is to focus on telling one story a week for 52 weeks (or the whole year!) Kind of cool, right?!!? Well...I am trying to tell one story that is part of MY personal story (not a family story) each week in a ring-bound traveler's notebook mini-album and am including loads of journaling written as a letter to a person, object, feeling, etc. This week, I decided to use some leftover Wild Whisper papers to help this spread come together super quickly. (*I was behind because of Creativation so I needed to play a little catch-up.)
I chose two different patterned papers that I thought would coordinate well. The gray horizontal stripe is from Strong & Free and the multi-colored triangle is from Adventure. Yes, I went WAY back in my Wild Whisper stash for this one! Because this project is all about the stories, I kept the rest of the details pretty basic. That striped paper worked perfectly as a quick journaling guide and allowed me to keep my handwriting straight too. Bonus!
I added just a couple of embellishments from my stash including an acrylic heart, wood veneer hexagon, and a couple of enamel dots along with my thickers weekly title. I carried these same embellishments into a group on the top of the opposite page. Spacing my embellishment clusters at the bottom of my journaling and the top of my photo on opposite pages allows my eye to travel between the two pages and encourages the viewer to actually ready that long letter.
I even used a thicker number eight on its side as an infinity symbol tucked in underneath the top edge of my photo. This week, I want to challenge you to dig into your leftovers and create a quick and easy project.
