Warm Winter Wishes Card by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's post, I created this Warm Winter Wishes Card perfect for sending to a loved one or friend this Christmas. To create my card, I've used the Canadian Winter Collection. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite fall beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, you'll need the hat and mitt paper. Cut a piece that measures 4" x 5 1/4". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next, you'll need the winter scene paper. Cut a piece that measures 3 3/4" x 5". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Now, you'll need the mug paper. Cut a piece that measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From your scraps, you'll need three pieces of patterned paper. Cut two of the patterned papers to 1" x 3 3/4". Cut the third piece to 1" x 2 1/4". Distress the edges of all three pieces. Ink the edges of all three pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one strip down to 5 1/4". Cut the other strip down to 5". Ink the edges of both strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Canadian Winter Card Pack, you'll need the card with the tree, the red branch card and the card with word strips on it. Cut the tree card down to 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Cut a strip from the red branch card that measures 3/4" x 3 3/4". Cut the warm winter wishes strip out and cut it down to 5/8" x 4". Distress the edges of all three pieces. Ink the edges of all three pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the winter scene paper to the hats and mitts paper. Adhere the mug paper to the winter scene paper.
Adhere the 5 1/4" border strip 1 1/8" from the bottom of the hat and mitts paper. Adhere the 5" border strip 3/4" from the bottom of the hat and mitts paper.
Adhere the first 1" x 3 3/4" strip 1/8" from the left of the mug paper. Adhere the 3/4" strip 1 1/4" from the left of the mug paper. Adhere the 1" x 2 1/4" strip 5/8" from the top and 3/8" from the right of the remaining strip. Adhere the remaining 1" strip 2 1/8" from the left of the mug paper.
Foam square the tree card to the middle of the strips as desired. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the warm winter wishes strip to the bottom of the tree card as desired.
To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 8" x 5 1/4", score at 4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
