Mixed Media Fall Layout by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing my Fall Scrapbook Layout perfect for your Fall pictures. To create my layout, you'll need the Fall/Halloween Paper Pack by Pam Bray. Grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and learn how to recreate my layout at home.
Start by choosing one of the patterned papers from the Fall/Halloween Paper Pack. Lay the Bricked stencil down on the paper and put Texture Paste - Opaque Matte through the stencil using a palette knife. Move the stencil around the page and put the texture paste through it each time. You'll end up with five bricked stenciled areas.
Once the texture paste has dried, place the Gradient Hexagon stencil onto the patterned paper and blend Walnut Stain Distress Ink with a blending tool through the stencil.  Move the stencil around the page and blend Walnut Stain Distress Ink with a blending tool through the stencil each time. You'll end up with seven hexagon stenciled areas. Using a paint brush, splatter Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain randomly onto the patterned paper. Once the splatters have dried, ink the edges of the patterned paper using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two patterned paper pieces from the Fall/Halloween Paper Pack by Pam Bray. From the one patterned paper, die cut two 1 1/2" Stitched Fishtails. From the other patterned paper, die cut one 1 1/2" stitched fishtail and one 1 3/4" stitched fishtail. Distress the edges of the fishtails. Ink the edges of the fishtails using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two more patterned paper pieces from the Fall/Halloween Paper Pack by Pam Bray. From the one patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/4". From the other patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 3 5/8" x 5 1/8". Distress the edges of the papers. Ink the edges of the papers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers, cut one to 6" and the other to 5 3/4". Make a notch on the right hand side of each border strip. Ink the edges of each border strip using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
The next few steps involve the Fall Foliage Die.
Die cut nine leaves out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over the entire surface of each leaf. Ink the edges of each leaf using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut four branches out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Ground Espresso Distress Ink over the entire surface of each branch. Ink the edges of each branch using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut three straw bunches out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Scattered Straw Distress Ink over the entire surface of each straw bunch.
Die cut seven leaves out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Peeled Paint Distress Ink over the entire surface of each leaf. Ink the edges of each leaf using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut seven leaves out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink over the entire surface of each leaf. Ink the edges of each leaf using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
The last element you'll need is two pinecones and six berry clusters.
Adhere one of the 1 1/2" fishtails 3 3/4" from the left and 1 1/2" from the bottom of the patterned paper. Adhere other 1 1/2" fishtail 5 1/2" from the right and 1 3/4" from the bottom of the patterned paper. Adhere the remaining 1 1/2" fishtail to the 1 3/4" fishtail. Adhere the 1 3/4" fishtail 4" from the left and 2 1/4" from the bottom of the patterned paper. Adhere the 3 5/8" piece on an angle to the 3 3/4" piece. Foam square the 3 3/4" piece 3" from the left and 2 3/4" from the top of the patterned paper.
Adhere the 6" border strip to the edge of the 3 3/4" piece. Adhere the 5 3/4" border strip slightly overtop of the 6" border strip. Adhere the photo to the middle of the 3 3/4" piece.
To the right of the photo, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere three berry clusters, one pinecone, two branches, one straw and nine leaves in a variety of sizes and colour as desired.
On the left hand side of the photo, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the remaining leaves, branches, straw, berry clusters and pinecones as desired.
