Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I hope that you've been able to enjoy some summer like weather where ever you are in the world. For today's project, I've created this Live Life In Full Bloom Art Journal Page. To create my art journal page, you'll need the Fanciful Collection, Circlet Stencil and Splotch Stamp by Nicole Wright Designs as well as Bronzed Anther Embossing Powder by Pam Bray. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my art journal page at home.
To start, choose two blank pages in your art journal. Place the Circlet Stencil on the right page to start. Use a palette knife and Texture Paste Opaque Matte and put the paste through the stencil. You will need to repeat the previous step three more times on the right page.
Place the Circlet Stencil on the left page. Use a palette knife and Texture Paste Opaque Matte and put the paste through the stencil. You will need to repeat the previous step three more times on the left page. Allow time for the texture paste to dry.
On the right side of the page, spritz the page with water, make sure the page is wet. Spritz Dylusions Spray Stain in Vibrant Turquoise, Cut Grass and Crushed Grape. Close the book and press down. Open the book back up to the pages and remove access ink with paper towel. Reapply water and spray as desired. Allow time for the pages to dry.
Place the Fanciful Blossom Stencil onto one of the purple areas on one of the pages. Using a blending tool with foam and Crushed Grape Dylusions Paint, apply the paint through the stencil. Repeat the previous step six more times in the purple sections on the page.
Using a blending tool with foam and Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Paint, apply the paint through the stencil. Repeat the previous step three more times in the turquoise sections on the page.
Using a blending tool with foam and Cut Grass Dylusions Paint, apply the paint through the stencil. Repeat the previous step three more times in the green sections on the page.
Place the Circlets Stencil onto one of the purple areas on one of the pages. Using a blending tool with foam and Crushed Grape Dylusions Paint, apply the paint through the stencil. Repeat the previous step five more times in the purple sections on the page. Using a blending tool with foam and Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Paint, apply the paint through the stencil. Repeat the previous step four more times in the turquoise sections on the page. Once the paint has dried, rub Black Soot Distress Crayon along the edges of the pages. Rub Black Soot Distress Crayon around some of the edges of the texture paste circlets.
To finish the background for the pages, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Splotch Stamp and stamp randomly on the pages as desired. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. I stamped a total of thirteen times.
From the Fanciful Florals 12x12 Paper Pack, you'll need the paper that has the floral image in the two corners. Fussy cut the floral image out. Colour the image in as desired using your favourite colouring medium.
From the Fanciful Florals 12x12 Paper Pack, you'll need the floral paper. Fussy cut two flowers with swirls, five large flowers, one medium flower, five small flowers, two daisies and two daisies with swirls out. Colour all the images in as desired using your favourite colouring medium.
From the Fanciful Florals 12x12 Paper Pack, you'll need the leaf paper. Fussy cut three leaf branches, three large leaves, five medium leaves and four small leaves out. Colour all the images in as desired using your favourite colouring medium.
From the Fanciful Florals 12x12 Paper Pack, you'll need the circle paper. Fussy cut one extra large circle, four large circles, two medium circles and three small circles out.
Apply Emboss It Ink to the Live Life In Full Bloom Sentiment from the Fanciful Blossom Stamp Set. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock. Sprinkle Bronzed Anther Embossing Powder by Pam Bray over the entire sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Cut the Live Life and In Full in two strips. Fussy cut around the Bloom word. Colour in the Life Life and In Full word strips using your favourite colouring medium.
Now we will start assembling the right hand side of the page.
Use foam squares to adhere the large floral image to the bottom right corner of the right page. Foam square one of the flowers with swirl above the circle flower and bell flowers. Foam square the other flower with swirl above the other circle flower on the flower image.
Adhere three leaves by the large flower and daisy at the bottom of the page. Adhere a small leaf in between the leaves by the bell flowers. Adhere a leaf by the flower swirl that was adhere above the flower circle and bell flower. Adhere one more leaf to the leaves by the other flower swirl that was adhered.
Adhere one large flower above the bell flower. Adhere a large and small flower in between to the two flower swirls you adhered. Adhere a small flower by the leaves on the adhered flower swirl at the bottom of the page. Adhere a small flower at the bottom of the page in amongst the leaves and swirl. The right hand side of the page is done.
Use foam squares to adhere the three leaf branches along the left hand side of the left hand page. I left a 3/4" gap between the left edge of the left page. Adhere a large circle underneath the top leaf branch as desired. Adhere a extra large, large and medium circle underneath the middle of the leaf branch as desired. Adhere a medium circle underneath the bottom leaf branch as desired.
Adhere a fussy cut daisy 3/4" from the bottom leaf branch, it will sit on the circle. Adhere a large flower to the middle of the medium leaf branch, it will cover the extra large circle a bit. Adhere a small flower 1/2" above the large flower you just adhered. Adhere a large flower 3/4" above the small flower you just adhered. Adhere the other fussy cut daisy 1/2" above the large flower you just adhered.
Place the remaining circles, fussy cut daisies with swirls and the small and large flowers as desired on the right page. Use foam squares to adhere the fussy cut daisies with swirls, large flower and small flower. Use adhesive to adhere the circles. Use foam squares and adhesive to adhere the Live Life In Full Bloom sentiment in amongst the flowers and circles as desired.
The left hand side of the page is done.
