Life is the Picture Decor Piece by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing my Life is the Picture Decor Piece which features the brand new Life isn't Perfect Collection. My decor piece features a variety of the papers from the paper pack as well as the coordinating Flair. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage as I will walk you through how to recreate my decor piece at home.

To start, choose one Flair out of the Life isn't Perfect Flair package.

Fussy cut two hearts out of the heart paper from the Life isn't Perfect paper pack. Ink the edges of the hearts using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Umbrella paper, fussy cut one of the purple umbrellas and one of the blue umbrellas. Ink the edges of the umbrellas using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the label paper, fussy cut one full label and two half labels. Distress the edges of all of the labels. Ink the edges of the labels using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the cut apart paper, cut out the "What screws us up" square, the layered frames at the top portion of the heart square. The heart square piece will measure 1/2" x 2 1/2". Cut the "What screws us up" square to 2 3/8" x 3 1/2". Distress the edges of all of the papers. Ink the edges of all of the papers using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Flip the paper over and cut a piece that measures 3" x 6 1/2" and another piece that measures 1" x 2". Distress the edges of all the pieces. Ink the edges of all of the pieces using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a piece from the sky looking paper that measures 3" x 3 5/8". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose two border strips from two of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip down to 3 1/2". Cut the second border strip down to 3 1/4". Distress the edges of each border strip. Ink the edges of the border strips using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

For the base of the decor piece, I cut down a time card to 3 1/2" x 7". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the rain paper to the dot paper. Adhere the dot paper to the umbrella paper. Adhere the umbrella paper to the time card.

Start by adhering the full label to the bottom left side of the 3/4" umbrella strip. adhere the umbrella strip underneath the 3 1/4" border strip. Adhere the 3/4" border strip 2" from the bottom of the umbrella patterned paper. Adhere the 3 1/2" border strip above the 3 1/4" border strip.

Adhere the saying card on an angle over top of the sky patterned paper. Adhere the heart strip to the top right hand side of the sky paper. Adhere one of the half labels 3/4" from the right of the heart paper. Adhere the layered frame image to the bottom left hand corner of the sky paper. Adhere the rain strip to the bottom left hand side of the sky paper. Adhere the half label 1/2" above the rain strip. Foam square the saying to the middle of the rain paper.

In the bottom left hand corner of the saying, adhere the Flair. In the bottom right hand corner of the saying, adhere the two hearts. In the top right hand corner of the saying, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the umbrellas.
