GG'S Best Pink Drink Scrapbooking Layout with Khristina

Hey Friends!

Etch-A-Sketch June is continuing on and I thought that it would be fun to share another exclusive sketch with you! I created this sketch for today's Etch-A-Sketch and then I decided to transform the pastels into a bright, fun layout using some older Wild Whisper Designs leftovers. (*Psssttt...I love love love creating with my leftovers!)

For this layout, I decided to combine elements from the Palm Paradise collection with elements from Wild Whimsy (along with the package insert from Back to Basics. I started off with today's Etch-A-Sketch Sketch of the Day....

I created a layered background with some of my favorite bright patterned paper leftovers because I thought that they were a perfect match for my photos of Tai making his GG's "pink drink" punch for the first time. The blue ombre is simply the top of the beach paper from Wild Whimsy totally transformed and the colorful stripe is from that Back to Basics stripe packaging insert. Does anybody else love using those?!

In order to create a little more of a unique look on the pink strip on the bottom, I added a Wild Whisper palm frond stamp in a matching monochromatic. This helps to make the look a little more subtle. I carried that same stamping into my embellishment clusters around the photo in a teal matching ombre monochromatic. I also fussy cut the little slice of orange from one of the cut-apart cards in the Palm Paradise collection. Isn't that a fun little detail?!

I loved matching my patterned papers with a fun mixed font title element. I even used some coordinating ink to change the color of the word "Best" to fit with my title (it was originally purple). I also added some little touches of Washi tape and a few enamel dots. The little pineapple is on some dimensional adhesive and that also came from a cut-apart sheet in that Palm Paradise collection.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing what I created with some of my project leftovers! I would love to see your take on this fun sketch. I would also love to challenge you to use some of those scraps and leftovers to transform them into a new project!

xoxo,

Khristina
