When You're Eating A Cookie Layout by Karla

Hello friends! Karla here today with a cute Christmas cookie layout using the new Wild Whisper Designs Talk Foodie To Me collection. As you can see, this is not a traditional Christmas layout, but instead I'm focusing on my daughter making cookies - definitely a fun food layout! I started out by using a sketch from the SCT 365 Layout class and cut the awesome mason jar patterned paper to appear longer than it was, since I previously used the back side on another layout.

I used used two of the cards in the Talk Foodie To Me Card Pack, the "made with love" and 'IT'S HARD TO BE SAD WHEN YOU'RE EATING A Cookie' cards and customized them by cutting around them with dies.  There are lots of way to incorporate fun journaling cards on your layouts! The Wild Whisper Embossing Powders are perfect for adding details for your layouts - I used the Blue Island Slush around one of the coordinating Ephemera Diecuts, some of the white Wispy Wool around the edge of the pink paper from my stash and the yellow Pineapple Dreams powder on the paper behind the cookie journaling card. I liked the look of the sparkle and white icing-like effect!

I layered on the stack of donuts and the mason jar along with the foodie diecut from the Ephemera Pack and used some of the coordinating Sequin Mix to add sequins around the page. The Made From Scratch sentiment was cut from the branding strip. I love seeing what fun patterns are included on the branding strips, lol!
