Hello, Jenn here!!! Happy July!!! I'm continuing my Canada Day celebrations this week with a double page layout using Wild Whisper's Strong & Free collection.
I started off this layout by choosing some of the papers and cards from the collection, along with some papers from the Creative Memories Celebrate Canada paper pack, to back a maple leaf cut file made by Heather. I always get so excited to see how great a cut file turns out when you've backed it with pattern papers!!!
I cut the beautiful red fireworks paper in half, and placed them on the outside edges of my layout so that when the maple leaf is placed in the center, I've made a Canadian flag :) Of course, this means I had to cut the maple leaf in half to go across the two pages, but don't worry, it turned out fine. I decided to add a little watercolour around the maple leaf so help it stick out a little more from the white background. I used foam to pop up the red panels and the maple leaf.
I simply matted the photos with white cardstock and just a peak of green from the 4x3 card that I fussy cut "Canada" from. I placed the photos on either side of the maple leaf, and the word Canada right in the center of the maple leaf. I used the Strong & Free stamp set to stamp some maple leafs along the bottom of the layout, and added some more stamping inside the red panels. I finished the layout by adding 'we' and a heart to my title with some foam thickers, some red sequins scattered around, and my journalling at the top of the page.
