Hello all, it's Karla back today! Well, it is exciting times here on the Wild Whisper Blog with the amazing new releases in the shop!! Today, I'm sharing a fun summer travel layout using the new Road Trip Collection. Our family was on our way to a camping trip in one of our favouite spots - Little Bow Provincial Park in Alberta. These pics are a few years ago, so it's fun to see how much they've changed over the years. We actually just went there again this week so those photos are going to be fun to scrap too! I started out with the 12x12 piece of patterned paper that looks like pavement and layered on some textured cardstock.
The 6x8 License Plate stamp is one of my fav's from this collection! I can't help but think of the game show Bumper Stumpers that used to be on TV where the participants had to guess what the license plate actually said. I think these are going to make amazing titles for layouts! Today, I stuck with something pretty basic and used the Rugged Red Embossing Powder, and I think it turned out pretty cool! I stamped on plain white cardstock and used some Distress Oxides to add a bit of colour around the edge. I love how the Canadian provinces are included in the set - but I think you could definitely add your own State in by hand. I wrote the date on each side of the plate where you'd normally see the expiry dates for the plates. Even just using the stamped letters and numbers from the set has so many possibilities!
I wrote my journaling on a card from the Card Pack and layered on pieces of ephemera and fussy cut images from the 12x12 paper pack. The coordinating sequins and some Tim Holtz Mica Distress Mist adds just a bit more bling and finishes off the page.
